Denayer - there's nothing to do in Sunderland

Put me on £30k a week and I'll work on the moon. There nothing to do, I know, the city itself is drab much like every other city in the UK. The Weathers crap and it costs a fortune to live for anyone on 17-30k a year.

Starting to fall out of love with football, when you see players like Borini, Kone et al complaining about crap like this. When people like me, who work 70-75 hours a week for a yearly wage no where near their weekly wage.

If you're not happy with being in a drab city in England go work for Thompson as a kiddies rep travelling around.

I hope he gets sent on loan to stoke or burnley, he will cry himself to sleep on an evening wishing he was back in the cultural oasis of sunderland

What a surprise. Was the lad restricted to Sunderland for goodness sake. I thought he lived at Darras Hall, he must have overlooked Newcastle, Durham etc. It's a shame he didn't take in the coastal line and venture out into Northumberland. He's also only a few hours from the lake district. Probably too busy playing on the xbox, shame.
This ^^^^

I can sort of understand his reasoning, it must have been pretty hard to stay motivated last season. He is the sort of defender, I think, that styles himself as suited to the Barca attack from the back. Playing another season for a poor team doesn't really develop what he considers his best attributes.

On the other hand, if he was half decent he wouldn't be struggling to find a club

'I want to play in a team that's challenging at the top of the league'

Not saying that it shouldn't be a given, but how about putting some graft in Jase? Help the team you play for get there.

If he wants to coast through every game he should piss off back up jock land and play under Brendan

This is the sort of self pitying, over sensitive, read to much into things, paranoid comment that annoys the hell out of me on here but.........do you think this is a dig at us:
"I have always had certain priorities in my career choices. Now it's first and foremost a club that plays at the top of the league. In addition, in a pleasant city and with good supporters, who create a lot of noise at home.''
I was just about to post the same, where does he even say that there's nowt to do in Sunderland. Honestly the negative spin that is put on in this place is staggering.

I've just looked at the article and he doesn't mention anything about sunderland.

Totally blown out of proportion, not that I'd want him back anyway....he was poor enough without having to make shite up

He does.

He says the shopping centre is shit and there's nowt to do.

Nothing like Sunderland where it was quite difficult at times. There’s nothing there, apart from a small shopping centre. It’s really small.

I've worked all over the world, been to roughly 80 countries. For all round living the north east isn't as bad. Just got back from working three months around France. What horrible people. I've been working in London for the past month, can't stand the place or the people or the prices of everything. Where I live in ascot is beautiful, but the locals need shooting with their clay pigeon shotguns.

Wants a move to South of France and see what it's like there. Aye there's plenty to do but there fifty homeless refugees on every corner :rolleyes:
