Deleting my account / changing username

Hey,
I set up this user name awhile ago when i first started reading the forum regular, never really used it since though. Was going to start posting but my name is rather similar to the other andysafcs... would probably be a bit annoying for them . I read that you cant change username, just make another... but this is the only email address i have that i can actually create an account from. If this account is deleted will i actually be able to make another one from the same adrdress? If not i think im stuck with andy-safc for now...
