So you've managed to figure all that out in about 30 minutes of football?

I mean, haway, who are you trying to kid here

you have no idea. you are just guessing.
That is my point

I have no opinion on this lad, as I have hardly seen him play

To say he is better than Gooch based on that is just not true though is it

we have no idea
It’s pretty easy to see if you are a half decent judge of a footballer tbh.

You are basing everything on him playing for Bayern Munich and nothing more. Simple as that.
As explained above, nope. He looks half decent. I'd be surprised if his career didn't surpass the lofty heights that Gooch has reached.
:lol::lol: f***ing hell man mate.
Come back to this in 6 months or so and lets see. It's usually pretty easy to spot a decent footballer from a plodder.

No I won't come back in 6 months, I dont care if he turns out to be the next Messi, it has no relevant.

The fact you dont understand that says a lot

I also wouldnt come back if he turned out to be absolute dog shit

neither option has anything to do with what you just said.

It's about being able to spot a half decent footballer from a plodder. He showed enough today to say he's a half decent footballer. Given the right coaching and management he will become a decent player.

Yes. My gut instinct says he's decent. As opposed to the age old SMB tradition of writing off a player after a debut.

I am not slagging him off, I just resent you using this an opportunity to slag off gooch based on nothing.

Its unnecessary for someone who has had a decent start to the season.

I'm not intending to slag Gooch off. He's a very decent squad player for us at the moment.

If I'm slagging anything off, it's the people who were saying he's poor based on todays display, or the people (like yourself) that say you can't form any opinion of a footballer after 30 minutes.

First of all.. buzzing with the result!
Another 3 points although not our best performance.. hope its due to fitness but wasnt impressed with what i seen today from Dejaku, 2nd touched seemed to be a tackle. Would defo play broadhead over him atleast until his fitness and match sharpness picks up.

Dont want to start negative threads after a hard fought victory but I was really looking forward to seeing Dejaku and was hoping for him to be different level to what ive seen.

I know gooch has been getting a lot of stick lately but he was a big miss today. He can be frustraiting but his work ethic and tenacity is second to none.

Roll on tuesday anyways boys! Always a good sign when you domt play well and still win!

Be gentle lads thats my first thread haha also enjoy your saturday and hopefully joshua knocks out usyk!
In fairness he hasn’t really played any football at all since February. I think you’re right that he looks ropey but can’t really write him off just yet

I can’t believe people are giving it the we missed Gooch stuff, he’s had one good game in Seven
Ffs, lads. Does no one get time these days? He looked lively and promising. I look forward to seeing more of him.
People are desperate for things to have a pop at mate

Start him against Cheltenham..the more games he plays the better he will get..I remember watching cirkins first game and he's just got better and better..I think it will be the same for this lad..he will learn

On today's cameo I have seen enough to see he has something different and can go past players with ease, give him a few games and I think he will look very good. Once he is up to the full pace of how we play and improves his decision making I think he will be excellent, I really do.

To be fair if a player has spent a long time at BM in the position he plays in, the minimum he is going to bring to the table is being able to pass, have a decent first touch and be positionally aware. These are qualities that were never in doubt while he was there.

The things we don't know are, once he gets match fit will he have a good attitude, be a good team player and put a shift in.

Very crass assumption to make. There’s also the argument that there’s a reason he never made it to BM first team. Truth is we don’t know and to assume he’s good just because he played for them is wrong. Let’s assume he’s good because he scores a hat trick midweek

Did you even go to the game yesterday? He wasn’t fast at all, in fact there’s about 4 comments further up this with people saying they were surprised with how slow he was. Also not sure what skills happened yesterday. You are clearly so blinded by your irrational hatred of Gooch and the fact he played for Bayern Munich.

Wrong, it's not a crass assumption. BM assess young players on technical qualities not physical attributes. Dejaku was regarded as having these qualities in abundance, but he had a shit attitude and that's why they wanted to peddle him.

Or they let him go because his technical abilities didn’t develop as hoped. We don’t know and it’s pure speculation on our part as to why. Like I said, I’d rather wait a few games and develop my own informed opinion on the lad instead of assuming he’s “f***ing mint cos he played for Bayern ya knar like”

Like I said his technical abilities were not in doubt. I'm not claiming to be an expert in German football, but those that are claim the problem was with his attitude. I've never claimed he will be a success here.

Being a successful player isn't dependent on having 'the tools' to do a job. If he can get fully fit, work hard for the team, have confidence in his own ability and is lucky with injuries it won't be footballing ability that stops him from being successful at this level.

Oh right so because you said they aren’t in doubt means that they aren’t in doubt? That’s right? I get it now, sorry, didn’t mean to question your well informed opinion from football manager searches of the lads ability. What’s his pace like? Reasonable 15 orso? Truth is we don’t know if his technical ability is enough or not at this stage, as no one on here will have even heard of him, never mind seen him play
