First of all.. buzzing with the result!
Another 3 points although not our best performance.. hope its due to fitness but wasnt impressed with what i seen today from Dejaku, 2nd touched seemed to be a tackle. Would defo play broadhead over him atleast until his fitness and match sharpness picks up.

Dont want to start negative threads after a hard fought victory but I was really looking forward to seeing Dejaku and was hoping for him to be different level to what ive seen.

I know gooch has been getting a lot of stick lately but he was a big miss today. He can be frustraiting but his work ethic and tenacity is second to none.

Roll on tuesday anyways boys! Always a good sign when you domt play well and still win!

Be gentle lads thats my first thread haha also enjoy your saturday and hopefully joshua knocks out usyk!
Yeah his first start
however Johnson will decide who to play and who is in the 7 subs
I agree he never set the place alight
nevertheless time will tell we have a good squad

nothing like jumping on a player after seeing him play for 30 minutes

Technically he's better than anything we have, maybe McGeady aside. His first touch, can use both feet, close control.. excellent.

I don't think he's gunna be someone that grafts though. Can see our fans getting on his back if we're losing and he's pulling out of tackles and getting bullied.

Cirkin wasn't great in his first game.

Just saying.
Dont think he was particularly bad either.

Dont agree with that mind. Hopefully he changes my mind.

I didn't see him during the week, but today his second touch was generally a tackle his first was that bad.

Clearly a confident lad with good close control though and there was no lack of effort in chasing down etc, just made positive but often the wrong choices. In terms of technical ability I've seen nothing apart from the close control to suggest he's anywhere close to McGeady, Prichard, Embelton, Neil.

I thought he did OK and looks a prospect. He seems to do everything right up to the point of shooting then he seems to have a brain fart, I am sure Johnson can work on this and produce a player.

Have to disagree with most of that but all about opinions

He tried to get us on the front foot every time he got the ball , yes he should have pulled the trigger when he beat his first man in the box , looks very raw but looks to have bags of potential from what I saw at Wigan and then today

You don't think cirkin was "particularly bad"? He was immense today. If you're talking about his debut, it was no more or less spectacular than the lad's cameo today.

Obviously he was immense today, dajaku wad poor when he came on.
He was better on his debut i think than what i seen of dajaku. Haha im going to let him bed in man. Hopefully he improves massively! From what ive seen l would rather have diamond coming on from the bench.

Aye he looked way off it

just save him for the EFl games

this is why they are vital

gooch is a long way ahead of the rest there right now, that might change with match fitness

not reading anything into it

will come good

I think eventually one of Broadhead or Dajaku will take Gooch’s place indefinitely but you’re right at present. Gooch is clear for now.

I trust LJ and his staff to improve this lad because alot of the basics are there. Appears he has the yips in front of goal. Leaves the full back on his arse and should have clattered it towards goal instead of going back for 2nd and 3rd helpings - f***ing daft. Like I say there is a lot there but it needs batting into shape.

Then why start a thread saying "I don't want to start negative threads but..."?
Yeah I thought that 😂 I thought he has shown in his 2 appearances that he has ability, sure he will settle over the coming months. He's in a position where we have plenty of options so no rush to start him.
