Defending “the club” at every juncture

I'm normally the first to say when the club are shit. But until we have the facts it's impossible to say if they're at fault here.

The club isn't being "badly run" if they refuse to be held to ransom by a head coach, when we have a DoF system that should be able to swap him straight out. Now obviously all of the above could be false, we don't know.

As an aside I like the transfers we've done/ been linked with. I also see no other reason other then money that AN would leave us for Stoke. That leads me to side more with the club - but I could easily be wrong.

The only cretin in this saga is Neil. I think after 4 years in league one most seem to be relatively happy with what we've done in the market and we still have work to do.

Why defend some fucker thats been here 2 minutes and jumps at the first offer?
Why defend some fucker whose been here for all 4 years of League 1 because they are “the club”? Or some fucker whose been here for a few of those years? Or some fucker who paid a pound? Or some fucker who closed the ticket office?

That’s the point I’m making to an extent. Yet people defend Donald and Co as if they are “the club”. They are not. Fuck them. They didn’t do enough to keep him here.

“It’s not the clubs fault” is defending those cretins.

What were they meant to do?

He wouldn't have signed a contract originally if it wasn't a rolling contract. He wouldnt have signed a contract originally if there wasn't a clause in his contract that allowed him to speak to other clubs.

They've backed him. We've got the third highest net spend in the Championship.

What was the board meant to do?

Alex Neil's plan all along (clearly) was to use us. It's clear as day.

I personally can't see an argument against this

Net spend 😂😂😂

Alluded to before he but we don’t know the truth with this. And the club and Neil will probably play the blame game so we never will.

Well for starters because they want to be here... Neil evidently doesn't. He's gone to Stoke ffs...

I'm not defending the club because nobody knows ultimately why he's gone there. I am happy with how we've recruited over the last 18 months generally though and if Neil thinks he's not been backed this summer then I think he's delusional.

He is an average championship manager we can replace.

Let’s say you get offered a job that brings you back home to the area your family lives in, and for more money?

What ya choosing?
Is Norwich near Stoke? Plenty of managers have been tempted by money but have said they would prefer to stay put. We should have been the more attractive choice between the two

Because it was only after he became manager that we reversed the absurd situation of being in league 1 with twice the level of support of anyone else we played against?

Its up to us to ensure we can counter any alternative offers - part of the way you do that is by putting key staff on longer contracts

I suggest you check Ross Strwart’s contract length and consider the only
other striker we have is on 12 months loan

Club is being badly run

It was an absolute minimum requirement of any SAFC manager that we got out of league one. Fair play he achieved that for us... which now gives us far better options in replacing him with an upgrade.

We may have made a counter offer, how do we know that we haven't?

Stewart has an option on his deal so its more like 2 years but it's slightly different if Stewart leaves. You can replace championship managers relatively easily, Stewart would be a lot harder to replace.

Quick spell check may help there mate. How can you pass off your opinion as fact? 😉
I'm not the one passing off my opinion as fact .
Non of us have any idea what is behind Neil's decision.
You seem to be of the opinion it was the club forcing Neil to accept a one year contract , when given his history it was probably his choice .
I'm gutted the he is leaving with 5 days left in the transfer window and that his decision may impact on transfers , nearly completed .
Always one step forward , two steps back , when following Sunderland.

He signs 12 month rolling contract everywhere he goes. He’s a Del Boy
