So we struggling to attract players because we won’t pay the wages ???

To me we are a very well ran club at the moment buying very good prospects and coming on leaps and bounds in a short period of time
No our wage bill is small because it consists of mostly ex league one players on league one contracts. It’s really not that hard to understand.

Sick of seeing people defend and refer to “the club” as a collective as if speaking against what happens is being detrimental to or against SAFC as a whole. “The Club” have owners, directors and senior management who are responsible for decision making and funding commitments. When you defend “the club” you defend them. You defend Donald, Sartori, Davison and KLD. That’s defending “the club”.

I’m f***ing pissed off with Neil that he saw fit to drive to Stoke the day before we play but I’m more pissed off with why he made that decision and what drove him to do it.
I understand your reaction, and the logic behind it, so this is not a smart arse response. However, if the answer is to be closer to family then fair enough. I don't know if that is the answer, but if it is, fair enough

How can it be said that he hasn’t been backed in the transfer market that’s insane !! We 3rd highest spenders in the league strong chance to finish biggest spenders by the end of the window

Wages O’Neil stoke old manager was payed 3 million last year surely that’s seen as stupid wages
We have to spend more money than other Championship clubs because we start from a position of having a squad that finished fifth last year in League 1 - with two of the key players in that squad simply on short term loan.

Unless i am missing something we now have two goalscorers/strikers at the club - one of them on loan?

In the centre of the park do we have a competitive midfield ball winner who can play at this level?

How many more injuries to central defenders could we sustain with the squad as it is?

He’s not moving to Stoke because he’s a ****. It’s either for family reasons or cos he’s not getting what’s he needs to do the job here. Both have been suggested but the latter seems a very reasonable assumption given who owns us and the constant “self sufficient” shite we get thrown down our necks.

How much have Wigan and Rotherham spent ??

Unless I’m missing something the club are clearly working on bringing more players in we will add 4-5 more players before the window and they will be the right players for the club

Basically he left to work for a shyter company with shyter customers and a company with not much going for them where he can try and get players not deemed good enough for his old company for more money and being closer to home.
Once you break it down it’s easy to comprehend.

So when we have more than 30,000 season ticket holders we compare our investment after promotion to Wigan and Rotherham?

Both of whom by the way earned more points than us in the league last year.

You’ve moved on swiftly there. Do you accept we have a very small wage bill compared to other championship clubs, in particular recently relegated clubs with parachute payments or does that not fit your agenda due to our transfer fee spend?

Isn’t that a good thing take into consideration we would be top of the league bar a freak goal from a goalkeeper we’ve attracted Ballard simms Clarke all who had plenty of interest yet kept as you say a small wage budget surely that’s the club working well ?

Again, can't fault your logic mate. If I'm being really honest, I thought AN's press conferences suggested the league was there for the taking this year. However, that is pure speculation by me. At the end of the day we just have to get on with it now. Speakman is now under very close scrutiny after the last shambles. He, just my opinion, needs a quick and very good appointment. Very good I mean good fit.

I always say that none of us really know what happens behind the scenes. We see AN's press conferences and post match analysis etc and he's intelligent, bright, positive, knowledgeable etc.....but we don't the the relationships and what's been agreed/promised etc. I'm not saying that's what's happened but would any of us look to stay in a job if we'd been let down?

Weird deflection baring in mind that I’m in favour of keeping the manager who delivered those results with those players.

Great points Shammel.

Everyone was in favour of keeping him but it’s he’s choice to leave the club for he’s reason money and closer to he’s family can’t blame the club saying we have a small wage budget means nowt if we’ve still attracted the players

We now do not have a manager - having allowed our most successful manager in recent times to be poached

Lets wait and see who we sign in this window - but I have very little confidence that the current way the club is being run will attract the quality of player needed

And there is a risk we will lose some players and end up a weaker team.
