Deep Fakes

Aside from all the irrelevant shit spouted thus far, shirley this calls into question ALL video evidence. CCTV becomes untrustworthy and brings an element of reasonable doubt. Anyone who can afford a decent brief will be getting away with allsorts. Nicked from the pick-n-mix obviously.
I think reasonable is the key word here. There can already be doubt, 'someone who looks like me', twin, whatever but usually it only forms one piece of evidence.
As things stand at the minute, if somebody got caught nicking cans from Asda, it's not reasonable to think that someone has gone to the trouble of knocking up a fake video.
I still think you'd have to prove a motive and means for someone to fake it for it to be dismissed as evidence. Remember, it's been a piece of piss to alter date and time stamps on video for years, I'm not aware of cases being dismissed because this technology is available.
