Sites themselves don't need to be owt special but must be near to some scenic walks and at least a few decent pubs. Any suggestions? Cheers.

http://stayinthornthwaite.co.uk/camping/ camp fires available
3 pubs in village max 15 minutes walk away, 1 does Sky/BT sport all have outside drinking areas.
Can walk up to Whinlatter forest to see Osprey live Cameras, Barrow, Outerside, up Newlands valley, Barf, Lords Seat, Catbells, Round Derwentwater all doable walking from site. Keswick round back paths about an hour away. Nearest bar which I tend to frequent is https://www.middle-ruddings.co.uk/ always 3 Cumbrian real ales on and a couple of real ciders plus a craft keg and plenty craft btls cans if that is your thing. Other pubs are Royal Oak (for sports) and Coledale (best beer garden)

Langdale, dungeon ghyll

Up Dungeon ghyll and back is a good walk or up and along the pikes is even more rewarding

Can you bring in your piano accordion and sing sea shanties?
