One thing I noticed on the website is that predictably the Trapdoor Stand and less predictably the North Terrace seats will be closed for domestic matches this season.
So is this a cost cutting exercise or the ongoing safety issue as it seems a bit strange that the Trapdoor seems to be ok for the Internationals.

Wonder if they'll allow The Magistrate and his Deckchair Casuals to take their usual positions at the foot of the towering ten row high North Terrace?:eek:

Looks like I'll have to make do with the top tier of the Co.Durham stand this season as the inane witterings of the Don Robson regulars ie "Another thruppence on a cuppa-Bloody disgrace!! Bugger Off Clarke yer crap!" etc etc will send me blood pressure sky high.:evil:
 
You've got to love cricket for having events like this. Can't wait for the puddles to dissolve and proper sport to commence.
 
Not difficult to spot Rimmo I'd guess with his hat, scarf and 3 coats on!

ok I still struggle with where is where, the north terrace being the trapdoor style stand next to the sight screen [sunshine sight screen as opposed to under the media block] :?:

so basically all the best places to sit will be shut? I guess i'll be in the penthouse deck when the weather is nice and the members bar when it isn't.
