Am I? So I'm imagining Cricket Australia fining and banning him for assaulting Joe Root in a bar in Birmingham?

That just didn't happen, did it?

Of course it happened but so did Flintoff getting pissed on tour with England, so did the England players pissing on the wicket, throwing cricket bat(s) through the window at Lords, Ponting fighting in a Sydney night club, Flintoff escaping a driving ban despite having 12 points on his license (he's now representing England in a "coaching" role). Big deal Warner thumped someone, he's no angel like others but I wouldn't mind him playing for England and Durham

Completely agree. Anyone who says they need to "get nasty" to perform clearly has psychological issues that need to be looked at. I actually don't think this is even true the majority of the time. Anderson went on like a t1t with the Indians last year, then even when it noticably calmed down he still had it hooping round corners late in the series.

I know people want the game to be played aggressively, and I do to, but when the incidents start to become on a personal level, like Warner and many others have been doing, it is completely unacceptable.

Disagree. England were too nice in Australia last year, they need to get nasty and aggressive. Men vs Boys as the saying goes and England were the boys last time.

Michael Clarke saying 'Get ready for a broken arm' is an implied threat and bordering on a crime. No thanks.

The incidents you mentioned with England players aren't necessarily criminal or aggressive in nature. Pointing fighting in a night club is, but then I think he's a total prick as well.

Loads of Aussies have had that will to win without being total shits. Look at Justin Langer, and he was legitimately 'hard' being a very good martial artist. Never became a twat though.

They won because they played better cricket.

Speeding motorist with 12 points on his license isn't criminal or aggressive?

They won because they played good cricket and bullied us. We looked like lost little kids it was humiliating and embarrassing, no fight, nothing

So did Ian Botham smacking Ian Chapple.

I'm still foaming about it. To lose is one thing...God knows people of a certain age are no strangers to a shoeing by the Aussies. But that was something else. Utter capitulation.

My brother was at the Melbourne and Adelaide tests and he said it was embarrassing, body language, effort, fight etc just embarrassing. Sometimes it's not the best teams on paper that win things, it's those who want is more and that series was brutal and we bottled just about every challenge we were set.

Hardly surprising when you are led by someone as wet and indecisive as Cook. When Strauss retired, the gig should have gone to Prior. If Pietersen is to be believed he was running the dressing room anyway.

Mate you are kidding yourself if you think that doesn't happen all the time, it was just caught on stump mic and aired accidentally by the broadcasters, literally the only reason it was news. Jimmy said himself that he has said worse and heard worse on a cricket field.

Its international sport, only winning matters.

Out of interest, would you advocate cheating to win a match?

Or at least turn a blind eye?

What do you define as cheating?

Not walking isn't cheating, the umpire has to make a decision. Anything illegal isn't on. Sledging has always been a major part of the game and I personally really enjoy watching it. Do I get angry watching Warner and co swearing at Jimmy? Of course, but it's entertaining and makes me want England to do well even more. Steve Waugh used to talk tactics on sledging and rightly so

Jonathan Agnew annoys the hell out of me, he's entitled to his opinion, he doesn't like sledging and wants it cut out, that's fair enough, but he thinks he's talking for everyone and that nobody wants it in the game. Not true, most people I know like it and are more likely to watch if there is rivalry.

Not walking when youve clearly hit the ball is cheating like.
As is claiming a catch when it hasnt carried.
Collingwoods actions against New Zealand didnt sit well with me and im a big fan of the lad.

All done in the name of win at all costs.
