David Moyes

Moyes was a realist he wasn’t afraid to address the elephant in the room

People say it was negativity and defeatist but at the end of the day players with ability or good character go on the pitch and prove him wrong

Here we are two managers later and a raft of new players and we are in a worse situation

Moyes went into West Ham said a few home truths that didn’t go down with fans and players but they have upped their game to prove him wrong

People blaming managers instead of the owner.

Wonder why it isn’t a surprise they do ok when they leave us?
Moyes wasted 30 million on shite

then dragged the club into this mess by his defeatist and arrogant attitude . Dyche and Howe achieved more not spending hugely.

He was a knob mate thought he was better than SAFC.

What about the rest of them? Ps, 30 million was nothing in that season.
Also Grayson got peanuts.
Not saying they are brilliant managers, but as Coleman is experiencing, it’s an absolutley shit hole of a club.

Allardyce managed fine, the other managers kept Sunderland up in a fraction of the time Teflon did, he had a whole season ;)

oh and just laughing this job off as his little mistake, Sunderland are better than that.

West Ham are currently in the minimum position that they should be in with their squad.

Literally any manager in world football, including someone like Grayson, could have gone into that situation and kept them up FFS.

Look at the options they have at their disposal compared to the other sides down there?

Bilic couldn't

Sadly this isn't the mentality in our dressing room, they'd rather prove him right, continue to take their wages, whilst not having to put in the graft.

BSA was if you remember, boiling over with the lack of signings just before he left.
He would have chucked it if he didn’t get the job.
There wasn’t only him who kept us up in a season then sacked/left the following year.

David Moyes has more assistants than Waitrose, all of whom have been managers. This is not just about Moyes, but no doubt he will make sure it is.

His arrogant attitude here last season should never been forgotten, can't believe people are happy to ignore his post Middlesbrough and Southampton comments last season man
People are still bleating on about this?

Saying we should expect a relegation battle after 5 straight relegation battles?

Sacrilege.

To be honest, one of the biggest impediments he had was not having a back room staff of his choosing.

He is now back with his old assistant Alan Irvine and the difference is remarkable

Bilic finished 7th with 62 points, the most West Ham have ever won in the Premier League era, 11th in the first season they moved to the Olympic Stadium, and left West Ham with the largest points per game total of any of their managers in Premier League history.

They were never going to go down.

We only had 6 subs today as squad so depleted

I did say other week tho that while we park the bus against the big sides we are playing some great stuff against the others

Stoke, Newcastle, Bournemouth, West Brom, Huddersfield played recently

14 scored

Big Sam planned very short term and he wanted to leave at the earliest opportunity for any club that came along. England blinked first though but the “gossip” in the media made it clear he wanted out ASAP

We went down we may as well have stuck with Moyes given him a chance to rebuild. We look like going down again due to more bad management

People say he wasted 30 million but that is nothing these days and the true figure won’t be known. How much of the N’Dong deal was addons?! Love and McNair were ones for the future squad players who ended up playing a lot more than they should’ve. His hands were badly tied and even if those transfers end up costing 30 million I wouldn’t be surprised if we only paid 5 million upfront that season. We were put off certain deals because we couldn’t put all the money down anyone we had to buy we bought in instalments which straight away significantly narrows the pool of players available to us

Helps when you can bring on a £20m attacker to replace a quality £24m one mind.
