It's the heavy weight title match of the North: The Bearsden Basher versus the Dudley Destroyer

First up is the 'people's champion,' BFS

Sunderland W9 D9 L12 Winning Percentage 30

And here is the up and comer, hoping to confound the critics

Sunderland W6 D2 L12 Winning Percentage 30.00

After a dreadful start, the young pretender is coming on strong and is level on some of the judges scorecards heading into the second half of the fight.....

I'm sure you will have no bias whatsoever in assessing which one you will support.
The whole thread is slanted to appear favourable to Mr Moyes and is really only there to draw people's attention to the fact that his win percentage is equal with Sam's.
I'm not arguing either way but why ask the question when for you it is rhetorical.

1.2 v 1 in favour of Sam I think. Although, I am f***ing hammered.
Yeah - wonder what it will be at season's end?

Actually it isn't - I only noticed it as I was comparing Pardew to Allardyce, and then my interest was piqued as to how Moyes was now doing compared to BFS

But it does demonstrate how much Moyes is improving as Sunderland manager

The two best managers we have ever had...and is probably a statistical fact. We were unlucky to lose one, lets ensure we look after the other. Moyes may not be the peoples champion and relate to fans the way Sam did...but he's better technically and can coach a team to play more than one way. Short needs to support this man...he is our future. Without him it will be bleak!

In the minds of many moyes cant lose.
If we are relegated it was because he was ( in their warped opinion) dealt a bad hand.
If we stay up he's a master manager albeit even sbragia managed that with a right pile of shite that was left behind for him to clean up.
Its a fickle old world

You would think Johnny Cochrane, Tom Watson and Alex Mackie would have to be up there :D

Moyes better than Peter Reid

I'm pleasantly suprised at the results of the last few games , after the worst start in premier league history (or top flight history) I thought and at a guess quite a few others , that we would go down with a whimper and become the whipping boys of the league, but fair play to moyes and the players , we're not out of it yet but we certainly look like we have more of an identity, and look capable of staying up , no true safc fan wanted moyes to fail in the first place , it's great news that we are in with a shout of staying up . Ktf

There's practically nothing in it from their first 17 games, though.

Moyes' record in that time is W4 D2 L11, Allardyce's was W5 D2 L10.
