I thought Jones and Sloanes came across well. Jones mentioned pace and a bit of sparkle. He also mentioned if needed we would sign short term. If its Danny Graham and he helps us get out of this league I couldnt give a shit, the one thing I will say about Graham last time he was here was he always gave 100%. Something that could not be said about a lot of the utter thieves we have had playing for us since then.

Jones kept interrupting Danny Collins so loves the sound of his own voice and Sloanes comes across as nervous on camera and very aggressive I would say, needs to calm down a bit. Dunno where they get their optimism for the new season from. Both are vocal let’s hope they get the chance to get their obvious passion across.

I think having supporters in there will help. Lets hope it comes through into the team. I liked the comment players who want to be here, disgusting that we actually employed people who didnt want to be here

Very good watch . Jones and sloanes both come across very well not sure about the apparent anger at sloanes on here he is a fan like us and wants the best for the club.

Jones spoke very well though and glad he is involved with the football side of things understands where we need to improve and they have a hell of a job which they get to change the club from the shambles it had become.

Can’t wait till Tom Sloanes fucks off personally. Lives with his tongue in Donald’s arse and he’s a condescending bellend from what I’ve seen of him so far

They’ve been talking about pace for years as important. Ultimately they haven’t been able to get these players in because the owners can’t afford them and if they’re any good they’re snapped up elsewhere. I’ve seen Everton fans on here saying the new defender is unbelievably slow.
Give them a chance, loads has changed in the last 3 months

All your posts suggest that to me you think we’ll be moving forward with the same set up in place and probably the same owners too.

Sick of people at this club talking the talk, yet the club never (in recent years) has put that talk onto the pitch.

I’d rather everyone just shut their pie holes and we turned up and watched us play well, put in 110% and win some f***ing games!

People need to remember that Tom Sloanes and Dave Jones are just like us. They are both desperate for the club to improve and they’re not frightened to voice their opinions.

Do we always agree with each other? No. Do we want the same thing? Yes.

Let’s give them both a chance to see if they can walk the walk, especially Jones with his want for going towards an analytical approach to recruitment, something which a lot of people on here have been crying out for.

I think he probably has much more say than people think. The non executive thing could be something to do with his full time sky job. Easy to say non exec to his sky bosses instead of telling them hes got another full time job.

yep I agree, players that want to be here not difficult to understand is it really. Still think we aren’t good enough this season with what we have, let’s see what they can do

Highly doubt we’ve seen any analytical view towards the signings this summer seeing as O’Brien basically didn’t play last season & Matthews was known to Parkinson previously. Be a canny coincidence if the lad topped the numbers and just so happened to be signed by Parkinson previous. Again with Graham, barely played last season so can’t be a numbers signing too. Then you’ve got Feeney only playing one game for Tranmere before getting injured.

If they’re looking at numbers say from 17/18 to make their decisions then surely Grigg should be key man here.

The chairman has changed/will change, we've appointed a CEO, our head of academy has left, our head of recruitment has left, we've started to add young players to the 23s rather than selling them.

Theres loads changed...

The debate about Sloane and Jones is clearly falling in to 2 camps. Firstly those who are kicking them before they have had a chance to prove themselves and secondly those who are prepared to accept they are both die hard fans of the club who have every other fans best interests at heat, I get why there is a split.

Very large ships going in the wrong direction take a great deal of turning around.

It was hardly rather than selling them, when they have been brought in to replace them. It was bloody necessity man. It’s all very well people leaving but they need to be replaced with competent ones and that is the acid test

Wonder what they think about Grigg, has looked like he's hated being here since the minute he signed, he's not put a shift in to this day. This phrase about leaving it all on the pitch he's the complete opposite.
