Ffs. I think its graham, Nixon saying hes coming hereLocal journalist said he thinks the breakthrough was Matthews
who knew ?He works on the telly. It's his job to be polished and a comfortable communicator.![]()
I’ve been told Monday mindFfs. I think its graham, Nixon saying hes coming here
Have all those saying he has little say watched the video? They cover that.
All four came across well. A lot more confident for the season and potential recruitment now.If he walks the walk half as well as he talks the talk then he sounds like a real asset to the board and the club.
I think he's class in this. Most of what he's saying should have been the focus and strategy of the club at least since we dropped from the Prem if not years earlier.
It'll be sod's law that we finally have someone with a vision of how a sustainable club should be run only for new owners to come along with their own men. I personally hope that whoever takes over from Donald strongly considers keeping Jones on board.
How will a 35 year old striker help us ?Ffs. I think its graham, Nixon saying hes coming here
Hes obviously better than wyke but he’s still not what we needHow will a 35 year old striker help us ?
They cover all that. Maybe you should either watch it or avoid commenting from a position of ignorance.Really can't be bothered to watch an hour.
But like i say he's a non-executive director. Which generally is an independent role reviewing what the exec board are doing, offering advice etc. They don't have any involvement in any day to day management of the business, so decisions on transfers, management etc
So no matter how well he might talk, he's only any use if the executive board act upon his advice. And with the clowns in charge of safc, well......
Probably Akinfenwa if its big.He says weve made big progress in a big signing . Hope to fuck its someone good

You can be a polished communicator whilst delivering a bullshit message. There was substance to a lot of what he said and at least he was knowledgeable and has a decent idea of what's needed which is an improvement.
As I said whether it can be implemented is the acid test.
That's quite a leap but thanks.I bet you believe the club is on the up then. Bless
Aye, I didn't mention Sloanes for that exact reason. People can say that Jones was just saying all the right things but if there's no substance there then it's easy to see through. I thought Sloanes, although he seems a nice bloke and enthusiastic, was the embodiment of that and brought Jones' nous to the fore and into starker contrast.I like Jones, glad he is here. Having someone who actually wants to work and has the clubs best interests at heart is a very fortunate situation for us to be in given recent history.
But I'm not optimistic, I'm despondent.
The club is in chaos with supposedly being sold.
Key staff positions are not being filled.
Any strategy is either not clear or lacking badly.
Whilst Mr Sloanes is obviously a fan and is optimistic, I find his pie and pint outlook unhelpful. To say sometimes it's better to say nothing and then in the same sentence to say we need to get out with the fans. All just a bit wishy washy.
I thought the recruitment in January was much better thought out and targeted than previous scattergun efforts. I liked the links to Boyce, Coyle and particularly Docherty. Ultimately we got none in and fell short.I think this is the issue, I wasn't overly keen until I heard what he said in December about not limping over the line and bringing in a squad that can stay with us if we go up.
We were then linked with the right players Boyce, Coyle, excellent loans etc
But instead, we actually got short term extreme signings and wasted money.
I'm glad he's here, massive step up from people who serve their own interests first but I'll perceive the club on its actions, not its words, time for that is long gone.
