    Nee pics etc

She was told her wage would be 17,700

On her contract it breaks things down as follows:

    Salary - 14,750.00

Value account - UK 20% VA of basic salary

Total fixed reward 17,700 (salary + value account)

What is the 'value account'? Is he getting 14.750 or 17,700?

    Ta in advance!

  13. Is the value account some kind of benefit that is applicable to the type of job?

Sounds like they maybe lumping pension, medical, insurance and what other ‘perks’ they offer as part of the salary?

    Daughter gets first job.

    Ask SMB for advice.

    Chaos ensues.

    Complaint arises.

Does she get anything outside her salary e.g. Car, healthcare, gym membership etc?

It could be that 14,750 is the base salary for the job, and the difference is what she was offered to get her on board.

When your daughter actually starts ,could be an idea for her to ask her colleagues ( I know will be difficult early on ) what their take is on VA, best of luck to her on her appointment anyway ;)

You can take off 12% for national insurance then the amount on tax code for what the government takes. Is the company not just outlining that? Plus pension also

  20. Perhaps she starts off on the original amount, then it increases to the higher amount once she's done training / passed her probation period etc.
