Das Boot

The somewhat belated follow up to the early 80s German classic starts on Sky Atlantic tonight. Sounds promising - set in 1942, after the cracking of the Enigma code and focussing on both a U-boat crew and the resistance in La Rochelle:

The new and improved Das Boot – now with added women
made by the german bit of sky - reviews seem to be all positive & its already been given a second series by the looks of things... shame that we know how it ends...

Watched the first episode as the full series is now available on Sky Q in 4K - very good so far.

I’ve had the film on my watch list for years and years now, always been put off watching it because I thought it was on for just shy of 4 hours and I can’t be arsed with films that go on that long.

Just checked and it’s only 2 and a half hours, will give it a go in the near future.
