Darts 2018

Feel a bit for Wes. Didn't see the match, but it's amazing how far someone call fall. He's made 3 PDC world champ QFs and appeared in 2 seasons of the PL, yet he's now at the Lakeside and falling at the first hurdle - amazing how far you can fall in a short time. Same for Colin Lloyd as well, he was ranked #1 (mainly as Taylor didn;t play all the events) when I was first properly getting into darts, but nowhere to be seen now and he's not that old either.

This mate. Got a mate from Fleetwood who knows Wes and is also a massive darts fan, says the only thing Wes can pinpoint that caused his decline was having a second bairn and even then he knows it’s not the reason. It just went wrong for him.

Wes Newton - Wikipedia

He was getting to numerous quarter finals from 2010-2014, then just seemed to go downhill.

This is Colin Lloyd's:

He's 45 now, but there's not much at all in the last 7 or 8 years - he's actually now in the BDO as well, although not the Lakeside. There's so many of a similar age, still doing very well in the PDC - White, D Webster, Whitlock, Suljovic, Beaton, King etc. all late 40's / early 50's and all still in the world top 20, yet the former #1, major winner, Premier League runner up is nowhere to be seen.

Some players can go on st the top level well into their 40s and early 50s while others are finished...suppose it’s a bit like golf in that respect.

Anderson and Wright 47 and 48 while as you say the likes of Lloyd, Part and Chris Mason were finished in their early 40s

Seen far worse darts than this mind. 2 former recent finalists here.

180's for fun here, Moira Barton's gonna find it hard to live with this.

Ah here's the beautiful Fallon, looking lovley with the specs on, like a readers wife straight out of razzle
She was class there, opponent decent as well. 89.67 average and 50% on the doubles, she'll take some beating playing like that
