A bit of a shame for the tournament as most would rather see MVG vs RVB in the 4th round (or whenever they were due to meet) rather than the Lithuanian, same with Wright vs Smith instead of Alcinas vs the latter. He wasn't great that first set mind.



I wonder if they ever consider bringing in wildcards for this going forward? They do in the 4 tennis grand slams and of course in the Premier League, so wouldn't be a huge shock if they did think about it. Could get Taylor back for a cameo.

Do you reckon we'll see Taylor in some capacity in this tournament? Thought he'd be all over the punditry.

absolutely awful stuff from Barney like

good job he's retiring as it's about the only justification you can come up with for a premierleague wildcard and even that's pushing it

Oh, that shite card will unfortunately likely do 3 or 4 times the number of the BT one as it appeals more to the mass market (who are present as you say). Shouldn't be bringing them out here though as it supposedly the World Championships and that nonsense just devalues it - imagine MVG doing a walk on and in ring interview on fight night...
 
not a fan of this larger field like. the standard in some of these games has been awful for what you'd usually expect at the PDC worlds

The game she was commentating on earlier (I think it was the Adam Hunt one) "The crowd are really getting behind the players in this one". Err not unless Yaya and Kolo Toure were playing they weren't Trina. Awful co-commentator who was limited to saying what double the player needed.
