Cost us a lot more long-term... the team we had in January 2011 was very good, his departure was the beginning of the awful decisions that this club made given we were never able to replace him and players knew they could come here and take the piss. Arguably one of the biggest watershed moments in our history.
He put in a dreadful lacklustre display against the mags the day before he handed his transfer request on, in subsequent years he tried to lay the blame at Sir.Niall’s door, taunted our fans on one of the darkest day in our history when he scored against us .... all this after licking the fans arses saying he wanted to emulate Phillips etc. he couldn’t just admit he left us for £££. Even talked about the club in his Roker Report interview as though he was a lifelong fan. Bellend.
Historically yes but at the time they were 16th-18th and we were 6th. We would have beat the vermin if he put in a professional display in his last game too.
