Hoped it might work out for him here. To his credit, we worked his nuts off as the lone striker but, on the flip side, he never actually looked like scoring which is what forwards are going to be judged on.

Spot on. His professionalism and work rate couldn't be questioned by anyone whilst on the park. Was part of the side that beat his boyhood team 3-0 in their own back yard and he revelled in it. If he leaves, good luck to him and he would get a polite round of applause from me if he came back to play at our place.

Overall, he has seemingly been O'Neill's one expensive mistake

in another side he well have scored a few, just unfortunate to have been pitched in to a side that was a bag of shite
 
He hasn't been good at all yet but I have absolutely no grudges against him. He tried hard on the field for us and it's a shame if it doesn't work out and he leaves.

its not like he had a huge amount of chances either and he did graft though he did always run like he had something up his bottom
theres talk of bent to newcastle and i know it wouldnt go down well with alot of people but id absoloutley love him back here
