Re: Norwich in 5m bid for Danny Graham

At least they would have gave him a chance before he kicked a ball.

Some of us would rather someone else was "kicking the ball" for us. The fact that he is a mag is only a small problem in my mind. The fact that he made derogatory remarks about our (once) noble and historic club, should see us go for Kenwynne, or some other similar type.

At the asking price, like Fletcher, he will be far away from a complete centre forward and that is what I want to see.

Great, a match made in heaven and I can't see us entering into a bidding war :)

We move on to bigger and better targets

Re: Norwich in 5m bid for Danny Graham

....and him referring to us as "the scum" on twitter after we played Swansea?

I'm not one to cut my nose off to spite my face. I'm not bothered who he "supports", I'm far more interested in seeing us do well ... But there are limits

I don't partake of Twitter, it's for pillocks.

That does sound nasty mind, he's a pillock.

No thanks, at least Graham will score and run around a bit

Re: Another Danny Graham Interview

I'm done arguing it tbh. These idiots have made up their minds that he's not going to try for us (despite there being clear evidence that he is desperate to beat Newcastle everytime he has played against them) and so they won't support him signing for us. Not true SAFC fans imo but each to their own.

The really sad thing is, it's the same idiots who'll be chanting 'he's one of us' after his first goal.

I think Danny Graham is a half decent player but i am not sure he is worth the aggro it potentially creates. Unfortunately, you only have to look at the debate that is already raging to realise that the lad will be jumped on from a great height as soon as he has a poor game and if he doesn't score or create a goal against the scum. We seem to have been bitten by this a few times recently and a fair proportion of the current crop of Sunderland fans simply won't accept the lad.

It's madness but it's a cold hard fact that this is exactly what will happen if he doesn't hit the ground running or perform against them. The club must realise this and know it's a risky signing (he's not even a prolific striker who is going to guarantee us goals). For that reason I would have avoided this deal - there must be other options out there surely. If we do sign him, i will pray that he does the business and whatever happens, I will never abuse the lad or claim he is one of us.
