Re: SSN bid made for Danny Graham

I choose:- I don't want to sign him because imo he's not what we need.

I choose: I don't want him because he's a poor player and a walking time bomb.

:lol: Red as they come! Move the clock to 1 minute to midnight, Graham's on his way!

I tell you what like, I'm a little bit curious to see what will happen if/when he does sign. I reckon the internet might commit suicide.

:lol: The internet will break for sure, this place will disappear up it's on bottom with implosion and Danny Graham will get confused and turn up at his first game wearing a scum top with Ameobi on the back.

Nailed on.

Re: SSN bid made for Danny Graham

That's simply because no fans of the managers old teams came on and said something specific like 'he makes rubbish signings'. Gives the moaners something to cling on to in their quest to be right.

I don't need other clubs fans to tell me O'Neill makes rubbish signings

On the flip side Fletcher and Johnson have been quite decent so far, if a little expensive.....and Rose superb.

The point PATP was making still stands, to just throw out any debate on new signings over this 'trust' shit peddled on here is just folly. There will always be extremes of opinion, especially when it comes to players that have openly displayed loyalty to our bitter rivals in the past.

Yes the lad is a professional and you hope he would give 100% should he sign in every game. He would probably end up kissing the badge

My biggest concern out of all of this is that is he really the best we can get? If so it's a little underwhelming.

It is generally said that a Manager needs 3 years to make a team his own, I'm sure MON has a vision for the team and knows what he needs to make this team his own.
I don't know a lot about Danny Graham, but if our Manager thinks he is what we need then that's good enough for me.

My reason for not flapping about it isn't that MON is infallible as he's far from it. It's not that Graham is a great player, it's nothing to do with his 14 goals or whatever last season.

I don't give a monkeys about his 'roots' because the stupid misquote that has appeared on here, along with it's very publication, is pretty petty. That and we NEED cover. It's January. IF, and only IF, come September, MON hasn't addressed the most obvious issues in this squad, then he can come under fire. And IF Graham does come, and literally does fuck up some how, THEN I will flap

I can appreciate this point of view and am a little fearful that we cant aim higher but given our league position and the notorious Jan transfer window it may well be a stop gap until the Summer. I know thats an easy excuse to make again but if he signs then thats what i'm going with;)
