Re: SSN bid made for Danny Graham

I've never got this argument like.

It's almost suggesting that we lack the ability to have a debate about the pros and cons about signing a player because the management never, ever make mistakes in the transfer market.

Which is nonsense.

Have a debate then and stop wetting your pants about it;)

Re: SSN bid made for Danny Graham

All managers make mistakes. It's human nature. The idea that we shouldn't debate them because they "know best" is madness IMO.

This has only come about since O'Neill this 'trust' stuff, can't recall it when Bruce or Keane were in charge. I joined the board after Mic Mac had left, but I can hardly imagine it was banded around much after some of his signings

That's simply because no fans of the managers old teams came on and said something specific like 'he makes rubbish signings'. Gives the moaners something to cling on to in their quest to be right.

Re: SSN bid made for Danny Graham

Leave well alone, he's a journeyman and we've got enough of them lying about from Bruce's era. Another Chopra fuck-up just waiting to happen.

I think it was with Keane, in particular when he signed Chopra and even more so when Chopra notched on his debut in the 90th minute against spurs.

the thing is we can all understand people having doubts but folk threatening not to go to the game if he does sign is laughable but its their perogative I suppose.

Chopra was by and large a success for us

people believe he is a higher calibre of manager

Re: SSN bid made for Danny Graham

MON sees what the team needs far more closely than we can - and he knows what he's trying to build. He also knows how players will react and respond far better than we ever will.

Of course all managers make mistakes, that's without question. However I would rather trust MON's judgement than that of the majority of people on here.

If MON checked his signings with RTG he'd never make one. If he went with the majority he'd never have signed Fletcher or Rose this summer.

Everyone has an opinion on most players, however MON's opinion is far more informed than any of ours will ever be.

He's going to do whatever he wants and, as a manager, that's his right.

I happen to think signing an average Prem striker with a bit baggage is a wrong move but there you go.

All about opinions isn't it?
