Re: SSN bid made for Danny Graham

who's he, how long has he been back since his' job done' :)

"my work here is done" wasn't it ?

was just like the old days last night, the sherry must have been out, sadly Laputian isn't around or it could have ended in a snowball fight somewhere on the mackem / geordie border

Re: SSN bid made for Danny Graham

so now he is a proven premier league player

if he signs for the mags or norwich i hope his new fan club still get reminded how much they rate him

average player who brings baggage .. what is the point

I dont think its so much a fan club more of a "trust the manager" type of club, this relates to any player he brings in I would imagine

Re: SSN bid made for Danny Graham

This point may had been made previously but if Messi was a Geordie, had done exactly what Graham has done, would people not want us to sign him if we had the opportunity.

If you don't want him as he is a mag, then that's just plain stupid IMO, Rooney doesn't like us, has said as much in print, so should we never try to sign him if the opportunity (unlikely) presented itself.

.

two ridiculous comparisons, even if you are talking about principle

why take a punt on an average player for the sake of it wehn there are hundreds of others to choose from

some people backing themselves into a corner on here talking as if graham is our only option (just to try and appear non small minded)

no it isnt

its a bunch of posters who take the opposite view to try and appear more mature and reasoned, but then end up backing themselves into a corner like this, lauding an average striker who doesnt like sunderland as a club

its obvious to anyone that it will cause issues us signing him and he isnt worth the hassle

messi or rooney (as have been quoted) in the same situation obviously would be

We do not pick the players to sign, the manager does and seemingly its his option

Re: SSN bid made for Danny Graham

47 goals in his last 107 games - that's his most recent two full seasons plus this season to date. That's including all competitions, starts and subs. It's not bad like.

:lol::lol:

Which includes cup competitions (where he's almost a goal a game) and the Championship season with Watford (better than 1 in 2).

His top flight record is 16 in 66, for Swansea only it's 15 in 52.

Overall in his career, where 80% of his goals have come outside the top flight, he is just short of 1 in 3.

Granted that includes sub appearances and it's only statistics, which never tell the full story, but it's hardly a line to go tub-thumping about.

He's a 27 year old average journeyman striker, who Swansea are prepared to sell for quite a low fee and replace with Big Kenny Jones (who we know all about) who comes with additional baggage.

the messi/rooney comparisions are laughable tbh.

its nowt to do with appearing more reasoned and mature (this is very hard to prove on here;)).

For me its looking past his historical comments (the ones where he states his dislike for his boyhood teams rivals and the ones where he says he doesnt support the mags anymore) and backing him if thats what the manager wants us to do.

It may well not even materialise into him signing for us but the bed wetting on here has been on a scale I forgot was possible on PF

he is the new f***ing anal shearer according to his new fan club on here

a must have buy whose attitude is worth ignoring for the great goals he will bring

I would rather we didnt sign him as he does nit excite me as a player as well as the fact that he is a Mag. If we do sign him I will support him though. However I just know that my support will be out of respect and not love.

You are getting lost in the panic here mind, if MON chooses to sign him then fair enough surely? even if it is as a back up to our first choice of Sess and Fletcher?

Fair comment

:lol::lol:
Mass over exaggeration from the people with pitch forks who seem to hate NUFC more than they love SAFC.

I voted no in the poll a few days ago, because as a player I think we could do / should be able to do better. However I really want Graham to sign now, purely for the reaction on here. Will provide hours of entertainment.

'Attitude is worth ignoring' - is that the attitude you've made up from a comment made to a mag fanzine, or anything more informed?

Take it if he does sign you'll not celebrate any goal he scores?

Re: SSN bid made for Danny Graham

For a premier league wage would I play for Newcastle?.... Of course I would.

Would I try and score an own goal in the derby... Of course I would.
