Re: SSN bid made for Danny Graham

Of course it will. Chopra did ok for us and scored some goals, bit with what happened he was gone in under 24hrs. If graham does that he will be gone as well. If he's professional and does his job then he will be a hero. Why do some undermine the rivalry, its massive up here. Hopefully he can be a Hutchison rather than a chopra.

Still wouldn't surprise me if he joined the mags anyway. Then he will get called worse than shite again.

Aye about the size of it, if MON wants him and DG is happy to play for us I'll back him till I see evidence of mag fuckwittery. I get the feeling he will be more like Hutch, but I'm still surprised that the mags don't fancy him.

The mags don't fancy him as he's not good enough, Swansea can't wait to get rid.

Big mistake this signing for me.

Re: SSN bid made for Danny Graham

i fucked this thread off about 3 o'clock yesterday.

owt happened since then?

Lots of childish bickering which resulted in everyone changing their minds.

The 'pros' became 'cons', and vice versa, so the bickering can continue

Fair enough as long as you realise that you making things up isn't the same as facts ;)

I'm just done arguing about it now mate. Everyone should be entitled to their opinion, without the petty name calling which seems common place on here. I don't want him, I've made that pretty clear, but we will just have to wait and see. It's all we can do, if I'm wrong, I will say I'm wrong. Doubt others would mind if its the other way round.

No. I've been having a look every so often just to see whether he's signed yet, but it's just people fighting.

did the grammar police raid the place? a swat (syntax, writing and transcription) team smash the place up looking for missing capitals and errant commas?

Re: SSN bid made for Danny Graham

This point may had been made previously but if Messi was a Geordie, had done exactly what Graham has done, would people not want us to sign him if we had the opportunity.

Graham is a proven premiership player and due to some small minded views people don't want him as he's a mag (his comments were those of a football fan, the type of stuff you'd expect to hear).

Now we have signed two players I've never heard of, and they have been welcomed with open arms without even proving that they are good enough for the premiership.

If you don't want Graham as you don't think he's good enough, then fair enough, although he is a proven PL player.

If you don't want him as he is a mag, then that's just plain stupid IMO, Rooney doesn't like us, has said as much in print, so should we never try to sign him if the opportunity (unlikely) presented itself.

He is on the mags list of targets according to the guy who does their matchday commentary for BBC Newcastle, they however play a 4-3-3 system so his style of play may mean he isn't their top target.

It's not fair to compare Messi to Graham. I'd take Messi as a Geordie because he's a player that you couldn't find an alternative for. There's loads of players we could sign of similar ability to Graham. Plus he's a f***ing maggy shithouse.

Re: SSN bid made for Danny Graham

When I looked yesterday it was worse than 1 in 3, did he score 15 in one game last night like? Fair play to him.

47 goals in his last 107 games - that's his most recent two full seasons plus this season to date. That's including all competitions, starts and subs. It's not bad like.

Re: SSN bid made for Danny Graham

so now he is a proven premier league player

if he signs for the mags or norwich i hope his new fan club still get reminded how much they rate him

average player who brings baggage .. what is the point

That's very impressive it has to be said. Better than i expected. The fact he's a mag increases the risk of the transfer failing for a variety of reasons, not least of all the risk of supporters turning against him and as such I'd prefer we looked elsewhere but if he's the man MON wants and is convinced will do a job for us then it may well prove to be a risk worth taking.

What's life without the odd risk anyway?
