Articles kicking round he has hung on for the mags to come in for him and now we are his second choice, stuff like that isn't going to help his reputation with the fans who already seem skeptic at best.

Hope the majority of the fans do not take notice of the shit written in the papers otherwise he could already be on dodgy ground.

Wouldnt suprise me

 It's a hell of a lot more than that. I actually think this site is quite forgiving compared to the fans I speak to in the real world. The general consensus is, they don't want him due to him not being anything special (although I think his record last season was very good) and his Newcastle links.

Obviously an early goal into his career would swiftly change peoples minds.

Would that be the same people who didn't want "that Fletcher fuck from Wolves" with the argument that he was nothing more than Championship class?

That's exactly the problem man. Morons will believe anything they want to believe if it fits with their idiotic opinion. The tabloids thrive on it. They'll believe he waited for newcastle just like the cretins on here convinced themselves he said he hated us on twitter when it simply never happened bute suits what they want to think.

They're desperate to be outraged, presumably because they're f***ing miserable people with nowt going for them.

I was originally not in favor of him signing partly due the mags link partly down to him as a player.

Having sat back thought about it looked at our squad over the last week or so he will be a welcome addition in my eyes.

If the lad signs we need to get behind him not be on his case first chance we get.

Worst turbulence ever on the flight up north! And this guy slept through it all @kylebartley22 pic.twitter.com/avraW16h

I think it's a bit different. It wans't difficult to understand people's reasoning behind not being fully behind the Fletcher signing due to the £12m fee. Obviously in hindsight it was a fantastic buy but seemed very risky at the time.

As for Graham, he is a self-confessed mag, hails from a family of mags and has openly said in the media he would never support Sunderland. That's fine, but he's now potentially going to play for us...how does that change things? Was he lying before? Has he had a change of heart? As long as he is professional about his business and sticks in, no one will mind. Fans still have Clark and Chopra at the backs of their minds and rightly so.

Personally, I would rather have Danny Graham than no-one but he's not the most exciting of signings, nor is he likely to increase in value. Decent back-up I suppose, providing his attitude is right.

why is Morgan Freeman flying it?

That's just how Danny rolls.

I think he may have told them before like.

If his helicopter is rolling he wont be signing for anyone.

If he has a good start here, the fans will take to him. Why wouldn't they? The problem is that he's an average player, it doesn't look like he'll play a whole lot, and he is expensive.

I will 100% get behind him. 100% hope his and his family matters are quickly resolved and he settles back in the North East. I 100% think he will score goals for us.

But I also 100% think it will end in tears.

Picked up his baggage, gave them the V's and Linford Christie'd it out of departures and into a blacked out Range Rover that swiftly burned away...tyre's screeching, the works. "So-long suckers".

aha, that's nice dear. :fallingasleepsmilie:

If God forbid Fletcher gets injured he will be playing a hell of a lot.

I think he will get a decent amount of game time tbh.
