Danny Graham wanted by Blackburn

it's much more his level. he can't produce goals in the PL, that's down to pressure and he can't produce under it.

If they are looking for someone to enthusiastically run around the pitch and wear out the grass in the lesser used bits.
All part of his act trying to look like he's grafting his arse off. Still hasn't scored an intentional goal for us though has he...

One of the biggest conmen to pull on a Sunderland shirt. Worse than Chopra

Get the waster out. Hearts not in it here and a burden on the wage bill

Martin O'Neill
Yi knaa what marra, he's not good enough, but he's no waster and his heart is in it. While he's been here - certainly the latter part of the time - he's tried his arse off in the red and white, been an honest pro, but he's not good enough and devoid of confidence. You know what? Good luck to the lad. He's an honest fella and I hope he goes and does well.

I wish I could see it that way mate, really do.

He should never have been signed, everybody said at the time. He was never going to suit us, he was never that good; add into it the fact that he's a big Newcastle fan and it just never went right for him. Nobody thought spending 5m on Danny Graham was a good idea bar MON really.

Maybe we didn't think it would be this bad, but there you go.

He does try hard at least, and he's had a few decent games here and there. But he can't score, just can't do it. He's had some great chances too... the one that he did get, I was delighted for him, but he knew nothing about it. And Sam playing him on the right wing, that's just a load of bollocks. He can hold the ball up, but that's it. Fletcher can hold the ball up but also has a good first touch and can score goals.

I'm sure there have been better strikers signed for 5m in the past few years. What a waste of money. Bournemouth signed Glenn Murray for 4m; I would take Murray over Graham every single day of the week. Sam signed Diafra Sakhho for about 5m for West Ham.

If he had any pride he would have been off to the Championship at least 18 months ago.

He has been on the payroll now for three years with one lucky goal to his credit. Along with his transfer fee that is probably about 10 million we have shelled out.

All this 'honest lad who gives it his all' piffle is hogwash. If he was indeed an honest lad who gives it his all then he would have taken a pay cut in order to actually play the game at another, lower level club and contribute to them honestly and hopefully effectively.

OK, he is doing what many do in the game..getting great money and not playing much and controubuting less. But let's not praise the twat for his commitment. Ten f***ing million for a goal off his arse? Six months time, with the end of his contract in sight or a relegation clause kicking in (or both)..then he'll be off.

Earning as much as he can in a short career and probably setting his family up for life. People seem to forget that a contract is a two way thing and it was SAFC who offered him it. You're only ever one tackle away from been finished.

I can understand why he would do that. I just dont undersatnd why people praise him for doing so as though he is working his arse off for SAFC. he is, as you suggest, looking after himself. Fine for him..not for us cos he is taking up money and space. For that reason I wish he would fuck off from our club

I agree and getting the likes of him of the wage bill will only strengthen Big Sams hand.
