Danny Graham to Boro

If bewilders me how everyone wants these 2 out yet are happy to keep Wickham. Graham works hard but cannot finish, Fletcher can finish but doesn't work hard, Wickham does neither and is a totally useless knacker. I'd be looking to sell all 3 if we can get 2 in, preferably Wickham going out the door first
I'm not enamoured to any of them tbh, if we got two even slightly better players in than these three I'd be happy.

Have to agree. I think all 3 need to go. Sick of seeing "wickham has potential". Other than a purple patch to keep us up the season before last, he's gave nothing. One purple patch doesn't make you a good premiership player

In what way? hidden potential, that we await every season or just made up smb shite?
When he's played through the middle he's got pace and can finish, as witnessed at the end of 13/14 season.

Unfortunately, a number of managers have played him wide - he's not a wide player in a million years, but he's done a job.

Young players are inconsistent, and don't play at their full potential. That's not a 'smb myth', it's a fact of life that's as relevant on the football pitch as it is in business.

But of course, dimwits on here don't seem to understand that playing a young player out of position in a poor team probably isn't conducive to a young player producing his best performances.

He's a not anything special player imo, championship standard, in an ideal world we could replace all 3, its like having shit, shitter and even shittier. All 3 have there attributes but are any of them any good for us, i think not

Disagree. The only reason he is seen to be the one that is kept is the fact he is younger and doesn't have an injury history.
If we put the three of them on the market, Wickham would probably be sold for the most and to the best club.
That in itself tells you something.

I'm sure the club would sell either Fletcher or Graham (or both) if a decent offer came in.
Wickham seems to avoid criticism because of his age and the 'potential ' tag. Well this coming season is his fifth at the club, surely it's now or never for him to blossom into the premier league striker we all hope he can be.
Another poor return from him this season and I'd lose patience and sell.

You have just raised the same point as I have. It is simply because he is younger, English and haven't had an injury history. Is he a better player than Fletcher? Is he fuck. Will he be sold for a fee that Fletcher went for? Highly doubt it. None of them are perfect but Connor Wickham seriously must do a hell of a lot better. He is not a kid anymore. He is pulling in one of the highest wages over there now. Again, that was because he was out of contract and not performance related. Just need to see far make from him. Use his 13 stone frame for starters. Then maybe think that like a footballer and make a basic decision.
