Danny Drinkwater

Tin hat on but if Drinkwater was up for it and ready to find his mojo again, similarly to Pritchard, then I'd take the chance.
Its a funny one. He's a definite risk due to his off field problems. However, he played 24 games last season for Reading and reading their message board it seems most fans would take him back. If he is fit he could be a good signing for a year or so. In Neil and Matete we have good young players (although I know some have written Matete off) but another decent more experienced player along with Evans makes sense. On this one I'd very much go with Neil's opinion. If the lad is fit he could make us solid in the midfield.

Drinkwater is only 32, has bags of experience, might not have the pace but would do a good job for us if he can find his form again, a yes from me to signing him

Danny Drinkwater the most Sunderland signing ever will and will probably happen and he will be injured/shite hope im proved wrong.

He played 32 times for Reading last year and has played nearly 400 games in his career. I think Reading fans would take him back. It doesn't appear that injuries are a big worry.

i'd take him if we are getting another cm on top of this , be a handy player to fill out the squad depth
