Danny Batth on way out? (squad depth discussion)

Are you that desperate to post something you come up with this baseless, pointless, tedious click bait? At half six n the morning ffs?
That’s what I was thinking.. a whole thread about a hypothetical question made up with zero evidence out of thin air and has people reading through to see if it’s actually happening.. what do people get out of shit like this?

Does anybody else feel this is now probable?

In Wright, Ballard and Alese we have three natural CBs, we also have O’Nien and Winnie who can play there. Good defences are built on strong partnerships but unless we‘re going with three CBs I’m not convinced we could rotate those four (Batth, Wright, Ballard and Alese) and balance player satisfaction with a strong defensive partnership.

Anyone expecting us to go with a back 5 this season?
Why would you "out" a natural CB for 2 "stand-ins" when both "stand-ins" are quiet capable of playing elsewhere?

Viewed AS Roma, and Batth's putting the hurt on em. Wrecked them. Anticipation, positioning, aggressive

Contending with Cirkin, Winchestaaa all at sea and, Gooch trying his best..

Worth noting that immediately prior to joining us, Batth had played 9 consecutive 90 minutes for Stoke, contributing to 5 clean sheets during that period.

Stoke were in the playoff hunt during that period (early November to early January).

Season before that, Batth started 27 Championship games. Stoke were top 10 pretty much all that season and eventually finished 14th after a bad run in their last 6 games.

Personally I think it's madness to even consider letting Batth go. He's arguably one of the only players of absolutely proven recent Championship quality in our current squad. In addition to that, Neil has always had a fondness for the "stopper" type CB.

I'm actually hoping Batth starts alongside Ballard as our first choice CB partnership to commence this season and see how that goes (pending how Alese settles in).

Injuries, suspension, loss of form......we are going to need all of our quality players over the course of a 46 game season.

No we need at least 4 CBs. In an ideal world I wouldn't mind us selling him and bringing in Ben Davies who's higher quality, a few years younger and more diverse in being able to play LB plus it would give two left sided CBs and two right sided ones.

I think Batth is getting on and has never set the championship alight, although I'd be happy for him to stay as cover. More than happy with Ballard and if West Ham fans disappointment of losing Alese is anything to go by, we have two solid young CBs who can do a job and develop into Premier league quality.

No, even with Bathe we only have four centre backs, we would be short without him and he did well at the end of last season.

I thought he was excellent at the end of last season and can clearly play at championship level. No way should we sell him, key player this season
