The club was a joke when he arrived. The place was a shambles, and the staff were taking the piss. Made massive changes that needed making, and spent a fortune on players compared to the current owners, just missing out on promotion by a whisker.

Certainly not perfect, but I reckon they get a load of unfair stick.

I’d only recommend this if he chokes or at least strongly gags
Gagging is a very strong possibility

Fuck off man. Seriously are you pissed?

We’re like the drunk girl at the party with mascara running down her face.

Uneducated in business. etc etc. 🙄
Having to block the release of the accurate minutes from a meeting with fans group because him and his mate didn't have the bottle to stand by what he said at it.

One of a few times we see Chris speaking up for the fans, and Louise also absolutely spot on aswell.

Chamberlain going on about it being slow doesn’t sit right with me, it’s supposed to be a slow build up. Its what suspense is.

Was that Chamberlain who went along with him to an extent was it? Load of shite. We have very little heritage on show at the SoL but Dance of the Knights was something that came with it and should have always been retained as the main song for the build up. Not sure whether Methven or Chamberlain having been from outside the region appreciated that.

Decent craic in the pub though pre match iirc....

I’ve met Methven’s type many a time. They really like the deferential or jovial Baldric like working classes to amuse them. There’s no threat there. They really get uncomfortable with either bright working class lads or, much worse, bright lasses. They attempt to shout the former down with bombast but have nee idea what to do with the latter.

And this is why he quickly started chuntering about the whole extremely uneducated in business types in Sunderland. Because a few sharp working class folk were onto his bullshit and weren’t being deferential or thankful for him gracing Sunderland with his presence. That was his attempt to belittle and shout down.

I’m grateful to the supporters with public profile who didn’t let him get away with it.

The Dance of the Knights became synonymous with us from the opening of the SOL.
As times gone by especially with those fuckers it got watered down, not played as loud and some other trendy shite got played for the run out.
Even now the last home game they didn’t even play it.
It needs to be brought back turned up to full volume for the last 5 minutes or so before kick off, fuck all this other shallow shite.

One of my earliest memories of a match day was not just hearing Dance of the knights but feeling it vibrate the entire stadium. I just say missed out on Roker Park so can’t say if it felt the same but I can as a home fan it felt intimidating as fuck hearing how loud it played.

Might not be as loud anymore which is a shame but it’s still iconic and has been part of the club for over 20 years now.

I’ll always be grateful to them for splashing the cash on Will Grigg. Stuff I can tell the grand bairns about in years to come.
