Dan Neil

Such an excellent footballer. Broke up play well and kept and was trusted for the last half hour to be the only centre midfielder with roberts, amad, Clarke, gelhardt, Pritchard all ahead of him.

Mistakes will happen with the responsibility on his shoulders at such a young age.

👏

Had a brilliant game, he is developing fast
Turns in to trouble far too often

Old news Mr Janitor
People are watching a different game to me ,but everyone is entitled to there opinion, sideways and backwards to much for me and not aggressive enough in the tackle for a midfielder just my opinion.

Think your right 🤔..... people are watching a different game to you!
Hes an absolute rolls royce.

There is a man who recognises quality when he sees it

Neil does ok but he’s being asked to do far too much pairing him with Michut in midfield.

As a pair I think they are far too easy to play through. The number of times at home the opposition just cut straight through us is painful

That's hardly Neil's fault though is it?
Got no help from Michut at all today , Neil might as well have been the only midfielder in our side . Michut can be excellent but he drifts along as though he has no responsibility at all . Where as Neil an attacking creative midfielder by inclination has risen to the task of replacing Evans as our defensive midfielder .
The only fault Neil showed was when he was left for dead by the pace of their big midfielder ,who caught him flatfooted, fortunately it did not cost us a goal .
For a kid of 21 having his first Championship season ,playing out of his natural position ,he'll do for me .

He’s done pretty well and will hopefully improve. Next season he’ll hopefully have learnt when it’s right to take risks and when to play it safe.

So why does he keep making the same mistakes again and again that he was making at the start of the season 🤷‍♂️
It's because he's thinking
He does that a lot too when there is no pressure on him. It's like he makes the wrong choices again and again.

Absolutely clueless

He's vastly improved his game in a lot of areas however he does get caught in possession in dangerous areas far too often. With any luck he'll be the attacking player in a 3-man midfield next season so he'll not have the ball too often in that area of the pitch.

Best player on the pitch in the 1st half, competition for that in the 2nd half. Very proud of this young man. The game minutes him and Jack Clarke have put in with very little rest has been incredible. We'll done to both the young lads.

Had a cracking game yesterday, especially considering how poor Michut was.

Will shine further with a good defensive minded player next to him in the centre of the park.

I think he's a massive talent and the best home grown player we've had in a long time. I honestly can't fathom how people don't rate him but each to their own.
He does make mistakes but alot of time he is hung out to dry with the way we play. Everyone other than the centre halves (and even them when cirkin or onien play there) is looking to attack in our team. We are then caught on the break leaving muchut and Neil isolated. I think I heard a clip of Mowbrays interview and recognises it but said something along the lines of its the only way this team know how to play. Its clear this is why we've conceded so many goals at home this season.
