Dan Neil- superb tonight

He's an exceptional talent. It's only because we have so many other young lads at the same level that he doesn't stand out as much as he would have in the past. In 40 odd years following we've had plenty good youngsters but never so many as we have now. Neil is up there with Clarke, Ballard, Ekwah, Jobe, Rigg ......

he was doing the job of two (arguably 3) with Ekwah looking so far off the pace he was playing in reverse and Jobe not having a defined role again.

Well their fans and manager thought it was a very tough game. Maybe you're being harsh ?
Fair point

None of the are as consistent as Ballard. Talent maybe.. but it only gets you so far

Funny.. I think I beg to differ. Not saying he’s not good in the championship.. but Leicester didn’t get out of second gear

And I’d have winks over Neil every day of the week.. sorry

I've read the entire match thread on the foxes talk forum and they are absolutely categorical that we are the hardest game they've had by some distance. They praised out work rate and fooball to the hilt. Thet observed we were the better side but somehow if not for Patto they could have scored 4 or 5. A weird game they said but they were mightily relieved when the whistle blew and could not believe how we kept going at them. They reckon everyone else they've played has been dead by 70 minutes. They also observed that we have an extremely skillfully but very young side which gives us both strengths and weaknesses.

@As You Were you fucked the quote up so I'll reply here

Massive myth about him not being able to tackle. His passing is excellent as is his work rate..I think you're massively under rating him.

Btw he has 2 goals this season, that would average out at 8 this season..if he gets 8 from centre midfield this season I'll be happy with that that

Cheers for the summary 👍

Does anyone really think Leicester intentionally didn't get out of second gear? It wasn't their best performance but not for want of trying. They won 1-0 and we had plenty chances. The idea that they weren't really trying or didn't need to make much effort is just nonsense.

Were we close to scoring?
I think there’s about 10 threads saying we weren’t and the reasons why.
If we scored I’m pretty sure they’d have stepped it up. Patto kept us in the game . Easily
