Curry for Christmas dinner

Yep - no problem with going for a ruby on Xmas day. Me and Mrs Coat (no) - did that a few years back and it was excellent.
Plus we didn't have any washing up to do.
Even got a doggy bag for later on:cool:

Just don't have turkey. Simple really.

And OP.... just make it yasel man.

Every other day of the year then curry is the right choice but curry on Christmas day is for wrang'uns.
Why is it in this day and age ? was in Asda earlier and they are already selling Christmas mince pies. Far too commercialised and gets earlier every year.

what do you reckon?

Been trying to get a table for a traditional crimbo lunch with no luck but just see my local curry house (Mumbai @haswell) advertising that they are open crimbo day with a special menu.

Sorely tempted to break tradition but I’m sure the family will all tell me to FO

anyone broke the crimbo food tradition??

Yep done Xmas Dinner in my local Indian 3 times and had an absolute cracking day.
I think one year we must have been in there for 5 odd hours.
Go in every weekend for a takeaway and a fair few sit downs and they are like family. If I take anyone in we don’t do off the menu just let the chefs go for it and never been disappointed. Always wanting me to take a bottle of wine home for the Mrs and always chocolate for the kids. Lovely food and people.

Curried sprouts should get you some room at the Boxing Day fixture.

Not got kids? Our do you get there something from the 24hr garage on Xmas eve?
Balls with that, no way I want to spend a day in December trying to shop for Xmas presents, I hate it when the shops are packed full of people trying to buy the same thing, would rather have everything in and sit in the pub with me feet up in December
