Cup, League or Europe?

12th in the league, last 16 of Europa and quarters of one of the cups seems reasonable.

I know we're excited but reality must play a part.....the Prem has existed for 30+ years and we've only got 4 top half finishes to show for it.

Boring mid table mediocrity is probably our level to be fair

Priority is to build on last seasons league position and become an established and respected PL club, take European and domestic cup games in our stride, if it means resting players for the next PL game so be it.
Need to keep a solid PL team together and have good rotation system in place for cup games.

Need to get off to a good start in the league so we can go for it in Europe. Not bothered about FA/league cup next season.

Go all in on Europe, this chance might not come around in our lifetime. We can make an European historical run.
I would sacrifice the domestic cups for Europe, no doubt about it.

I want us to make the most of qualifying for Europe and put the additional income to good purpose. That is to continue to build the strength of the squad, be competitive in the league, Europe and the fa cup for years to come without fear that we drop into bottom half.

Someone will be asking this at some point so I'll save them the time and do it for them.

Which one do you want to see the lads progress in?

A decent FA cup would suit me, just reaching the fifth round proper would be nice.
I just want my end of season high due to addiction, no matter what.
Cup, Europe, or finishing above the mags in the league will do, them being the runners up.

I’m the biggest cup supporter on here I reckon, but I’d be playing the youth team in that this year.

If we get an amazing draw against non-league teams to the quarters amazing - but likely out first round in both (again)

Europe it’d be embarrassing not to make the knockouts with the standard on the cup imo. Let’s just maximise that as much as possible - it’s a one off.

Then there’s the league, I’d happily just stay up in that and collect our £120m. Obviously, staying up without being in the fight (and Everton season?) would be the dream.

Suspect already that next year will be the end of the “cycle” with this team - and if we don’t pull of something crazy (ie, win the Europa league) then we’ll see a fair number of departures etc. As people move to other European teams or players have proved it in the PL and big teams step in. You rarely get more than a few seasons with the core - and we can use the money to really rebuild.

league is still most important as that finances your business...so staying in the prmier league still takes precedence, europe after that as thats your next best income stream

but strengthen the squad and see where we go
