Crying in Newc@stle

City centre? Ok. Born in what is now SR2, grew up in SR3, now back in SR2. Not exactly Fawcett St but I could walk there in 10mins. I suggest it makes me pretty f***ing qualified to pass an opinion.
Cronies? Don't think so. I'm my own man. I wouldn't kill to live in Newcastle either. All I wish for is that Sunderland could be better appointed than that place and some of its inhabitants (and others in your case) didn't have such a chip on their shoulder to have a dig at them at every given opportunity. And before you even go there I've no chip on my shoulder. Alright, maybe with our inadequate council and blind electorate.

So I've got a chip on my shoulder because I couldn't see why a supposed Sunderland fan chose to turn a whole thread about Newcastle into a slagging one of Sunderland. This even after I have said "You couldn't make it up".
Now please forgive this massive chip on my shoulder but I'm going to clarify for the hard of thinking.
I've already stated that Sunderland doesn't have a great city centre, I don't need to live in an SR postcode to know that. What I don't understand is a mackem turning this whole thread into a Sunderland slagging match. You could have just sniggered along had you thought it was funny, you could have ignored the initial content, like me if you didn't. You also could have just said, something along the lines of her being a daft cow because Newcastle is an alright city . But no, you chose to slight the city of Sunderland in one simple sentence and compare it to its better neighbour. So I can forgive the "trivial, chip on their shoulder people" from jumping at its defence. There are so many soft shite wankers, who don't have the gonads, or are so humiliated by it, who propose to support Sunderland rather than admit who they really do support. There are at least 2, possibly 3, on this thread alone. They then run around screaming, I've got a season ticket, I've lived in every SR Postcode there is, I love Sunderland, hate the mags, but our city is shit, when they are confronted

So just to put it succinctly, I don't understand why some, you included, used this as an opportunity to slag off the city.

It's not one of the worlds best capitals like. Paris although small is f***ing incredible. Rome is absolutely beautiful. Berlin is the greatest place on earth. Prague is extremely charming. The main problem with London is the people, if it had more of a friendly feel it'd probably not be too far behind the places I listed.

London is a magnificent city in so many ways. It also has a number of horrible suburbs where it would be unsafe to walk the streets.

I'm there now and I can't wait to get back to the NE.

The main reason - the people. They haven't as much money ( I'm obviously generalising here), but they are much happier and friendly (whether from Sunderland, Newcastle, Gateshead, Washington, Shields etc etc)
I choose to live in the NE because quality of life is so much better. You can't buy smiles and warmth - they are a rare commodity in the greed and stress dominated capital.
Just ride the tube and see the dead eyes in so many people. Awful.

Get me home!

How does thinking that Newcastle have a better city centre make you think I'm not a fan of SAFC?
Interesting how my initial post 'It's a better city centre than ours' is deemed by you as having a slight at our city. Is it? Read it properly.
Interesting how that initial post by me is backed up by you in all of your replies.

I agree. Like I said, I don't think it's anywhere near as good as Leeds.

The reaction to this is just ‘Mackems’ having a little wry smile at a footballer criticising Newcastle after the mags have said for years ‘Ya playas aaall live in Newcasal 'cos Sunderland's a shit hole’ .

At the end of the day, it is detrimental to both clubs if we can’t attract players to the region.

And for what it's worth, Ginola's lass sounds like a right stupid cow.

To be honest mate, I don't think you will find one SAFC fan who would disagree with that, whether they are from Sunderland or not. The thing is, you've said or fans love to slag Newcastle (the place) off, when I would say most begrudgingly admit the city centre has more to offer. I don't see/hear our fans or mackems in general slagging Newcastle of anywhere near as much as geordies/mags slag Sunderland off. If Newcastle if that good, you would think they would just enjoy it without having to constantly compare it to Sunderland and slag Sunderland off.

I don't see what you're arguing about. I'd much rather live in Gateshead than Newcastle or Sunderland ;) Whickham is the place to be

you read it. My initial point was and still is why you felt it necessary to do the comparison at the drop of a hat. Why is that so difficult for you to understand

You're avoiding the issue. My initial post does not slag off our city. It simply says that Newcastle has a better city centre. To which you agree. And I'd imagine most other Sunderland fans would have to. But you then become all judge, jury and executioner and slam it as having a slight at Sunderland by jumping in with both feet without thinking about what I've written. If I've had a slight at anything in that post, it isn't Sunderland but the juvenile posters.

and you constantly miss my point. Why was it necessary to bring Sunderland into it? You then become extremely hypocritical by accusing me of "not thinking about what you have written", you precious little darling.
So since you seem incapable of interpreting posts yourself, here goes. Just for you, my first post to you

Sadly that isn't the point. Now a few pretendy SAFC fans, like you possibly, have decided to turn it around against Sunderland itself. It smack of mag bullshit in as much as, "we can't really talk or take a dig at them". In much the same way they think we can't laugh and take the piss out them for winning 3-0 cos we once lost 5-1
It's pathetic and happens every time something is dug up about them. I'd much rather let people know who I support rather than make snide comments and hide behind a persona on the internet
Sunderland has a lot to be proud of historically, but the city itself isn't that great, it also isn't as bad as most people think and had the cunts at Tyne and Wear invested in both cities in equal measures , then maybe just maybe it would have seen the improvements that it deserves
And I'm not from Sunderland
