City centre? Ok. Born in what is now SR2, grew up in SR3, now back in SR2. Not exactly Fawcett St but I could walk there in 10mins. I suggest it makes me pretty f***ing qualified to pass an opinion.
Cronies? Don't think so. I'm my own man. I wouldn't kill to live in Newcastle either. All I wish for is that Sunderland could be better appointed than that place and some of its inhabitants (and others in your case) didn't have such a chip on their shoulder to have a dig at them at every given opportunity. And before you even go there I've no chip on my shoulder. Alright, maybe with our inadequate council and blind electorate.
So I've got a chip on my shoulder because I couldn't see why a supposed Sunderland fan chose to turn a whole thread about Newcastle into a slagging one of Sunderland. This even after I have said "You couldn't make it up".
Now please forgive this massive chip on my shoulder but I'm going to clarify for the hard of thinking.
I've already stated that Sunderland doesn't have a great city centre, I don't need to live in an SR postcode to know that. What I don't understand is a mackem turning this whole thread into a Sunderland slagging match. You could have just sniggered along had you thought it was funny, you could have ignored the initial content, like me if you didn't. You also could have just said, something along the lines of her being a daft cow because Newcastle is an alright city . But no, you chose to slight the city of Sunderland in one simple sentence and compare it to its better neighbour. So I can forgive the "trivial, chip on their shoulder people" from jumping at its defence. There are so many soft shite wankers, who don't have the gonads, or are so humiliated by it, who propose to support Sunderland rather than admit who they really do support. There are at least 2, possibly 3, on this thread alone. They then run around screaming, I've got a season ticket, I've lived in every SR Postcode there is, I love Sunderland, hate the mags, but our city is shit, when they are confronted
So just to put it succinctly, I don't understand why some, you included, used this as an opportunity to slag off the city.
