Criticism of O'Neill's approach

Key word.

Sadly, it's not allowed on here these days.

Will take seconds before you're called a ****.

I'm not so sure any more Chappers.

Back in December there were maybe 4 posters who actively wanted O'Neill out. There were at least 20 cyber-warriors who would abuse anyone who questioned the manager. It seems that people are finally permitted to air their opinions in peace tonight!

You're right though - we can debate without branding the team, manager, chief exec, pink seats and trees "shite"

i have been a happy clapper the whole time, putting faith into MON 100% but im sad to say im starting to question him. His decisions during a game and in the transfer market baffle me. We all kept saying "wait til he signs the players he wants" etc but given the opportunity to strengthen it seems he has failed. Obviously we dont know what players we were in for and maybe they turned us down.
I hope to god he shows us all that he is still the man for the job.

this is not a knee jerk reaction either, we are playing some of the most dire football i have ever seen and I'm sick of it.

I'd blame short for the transfer window more than mon, tbh. We've never spent big in January and we never will, IMO. It's steady away because short doesn't want someone to do a keane on it, and I don't blame him.

Nothing at all wrong with supporting the team and manager, just as there's nothing wrong with getting fed up at the way we play. A lot of people feel the same. It's not about playing like Barcelona but we want a Sunderland team to be proud of.

TBH blind faith is probably the best position any of us could take as there's virtually nothing we can do to change things.

IMO too negative but in the long run maybe he will prove to be correct, hes certainly a better football manager than most if not all on here.

I don't give a toss about knee jerkers or bed wetters.

We are THE worst team to watch in the Prem. The football is dire.

It will drive many away from going to games.

MoN is stubborn and his tactics are generally shocking.

It's an indictment of the quality in the Prem that we aren't in the bottom three.

f***ing Woeful.

3 windows now - fair enough the first would be unfair but for me hasnt used the other 2 wisely

Just got back from the game, amother horror show. Our pass completion rate to each other mst be the worst in the league but to the opposition the best in the league. I am getting fed up of the constant hoofing it without prior thought or looking up.

so we sack him..then what

we get a new manager in, he wants his own players and the whole sorry saga starts all over again.. another season of transition while the manager gets in his own team..and so on and so on

did you not watch QPR and Norwich this morning.

I love the bloke as a person, used to love him as a manager too. He was my number one pick when Bruce got the bullet, always was.

But the game seems to have passed him by, just like Bruce, and he cannot seem to catch up.

I don't care if I get branded a mag, I don't think he shall bring success to this club. I shall support him until Short gives him the axe, but he certainly hasn't lived up to my expectations of him.
