You make it sound like the prem isnt a 2 horse race

Liverpool were a Steven Gerrard slip away from winning the league last season, they were extremely close under Benitez in 2009 too. Manchester United will be a different team under lvg but this year is transitional for them. At least 4, possibly 5, teams will have believed they could win it this year. What other top league would this happen? None, it is the most competitive, enjoy it for what it is

I dont care what they believe, do you believe there are 5 teams capable of winning the league?

Only two other competitive teams, the rest are.cannon fodder. He is still brilliant though, done it in the most competitivr league in the.World. Messi has not proven himself out of Spain.

Atletico Madrid are champions of Spain mate.

However, although I take your point Real Madrid and Barca generally come out on top, the second tier of clubs are generally really good themselves - Spanish clubs win the Europa League nearly every year.

The UEFA coefficient, which is the ranking system UEFA uses to determine the standard of the leagues (which in turn decides the allocation of how many European spots a league is allowed) shows Spanish La Liga has collectively absolutely pissed on every other European country in the CL/EL over the last 5 seasons

And i very much doubt they will win it again, without Diego costa it is even more unlikely. I think the fact the Spanish clubs do so well is largely due to the fact that they actually take the Europa league seriously, not many English clubs do. The changes by Tottenham prove this to be true, they play their second team every year.

At the start of the season , yeah. No other leagie can say that. Our league proves weekly how unpredictable it is. One team in Germany, three in Spain.

I'm not too sure I agree with that. English teams took it seriously last season. Swansea just came up against a better side in Napoli and this Spurs team that got smashed by Benfica last season looks pretty strong to me!

By far the stupidest thing that ever gets said by people on this forum.

I would say, although its still very early days, this season Chelsea look unstoppable and not even man city can compete with them. Next year after a year working under lvg man utd should be vastly improved and I'd expect them to compete, Liverpool have had a terrible start and as Brendan Rodgers has said it's a year of transition for them, they can't cope without Suarez, next season they will be expecting to compete again. Arsenal should be competing with the squad that they have. I think that all 4 of these clubs can challenge for the title but man utd and Liverpool are in a state of transition. Chelsea have an excellent squad and I can't see past them this year

Aye for some reason I thought chelsea played bayern twice in champions league finals :lol:

Anyway 2 out of 5 finals have had English teams since ronaldo left. I don't see what difference ronaldo leaving has had on english clubs getting to the final. Only difference is bayern have became stronger as have madrid.

Messi would be brilliant in any league, but unfortunately he decided not to move out of Spain. Also, I have said a lot more stupider things than that.
