If your going to be so pedantic .... Come back when messi has done it in the premier league, the most competitive and fast paced league in the world. Ronaldo has bossed two of the best leagues in the world, messi only 1. Forever in Ronaldos shadow .......

It's not like the Premier League has been dominating European competitions like La Liga over the last 5 years tbf

He probably already has among others, whereas Messi hasn't and never will. He'll stay in the comfort zone of Barca

Ronaldo is the best player of our generation bar none.
Pele spent his career in brazil and america. Maradona never played in England,Germany, cryuff never played in England,Germany, Italy etc etc etc.

Ludicrous arguement repeated by morons.

Got to be up there as one of the best players ever.

Although someone will no doubt say his international record disputes that.
He could be the best player the world has ever seen. He rarely has a bad game. he is is own worst critic so that makes him improve and try to perform at the top constantly

Thats Because the top 2 Spanish clubs have a monopoly over the rest, we have 5 or 6 teams full of excellent players. Bayern snap up the best talent in Germany. The top talent I. England is spread out through more teams in England. Imagine if only the top 2 teams in England attracted the very best players and were the only ones with the financial means to do so. The talent would be outstanding. Say Chelsea and the 2 manchester clubs are the only teams capable of winning the league, that would mean the better players of Liverpool, arsenal, spurs, Everton would be at the top 3 clubs, because they would always pay the most money and compete for the league every year. The tv money is spread evenly in England making it a more competitive league and allowing more clubs to have better squads. The same cannot be said for Spain or Germany

You have to realise the Premier League has fallen in European competitions since Ronaldo left. It's the timing that some players all left/reached their peak around the same time. Ronaldo was the biggest player at the time of the Premier League peak. The Spanish are doing great in Europe at the moment and Ronaldo is he best player out of them at the moment.
He was a big fish in a small pond at Man Utd FFS. Not many players have that

This is what I admire most about Ronaldo. He works at every part of his game to keep improving. He wasn't born the best athlete in the world, when Man Utd signed him, he was a scrawny teenager. He scores more headed goals than anyone else in the world, purely through practice. He always wants to be more and to be better. His dedication to perfection is unrelenting.

It's scary juat how great he is.

I mean yeah, the Robbens and Messis are great but Ronaldo is like a completely different species.

Man United got to the final, Chelsea won and lost a final also in that time?

I don't enjoy watching either Ronaldo or Messi.

Decent footballers who ruin themselves by cheating.

These kind of show ponies are not my idea of football.

f***ing love him me like, fantastic talent and a credit to his profession - you'd never see Ronaldo falling out of a nightclub at 5am pissed and on his way for a kebab.

Hope we draw Madrid in next year's Champions League, would love to see him live again.

Atletico Madrid are champions of Spain mate.

However, although I take your point Real Madrid and Barca generally come out on top, the second tier of clubs are generally really good themselves - Spanish clubs win the Europa League nearly every year.

The UEFA coefficient, which is the ranking system UEFA uses to determine the standard of the leagues (which in turn decides the allocation of how many European spots a league is allowed) shows Spanish La Liga has collectively absolutely pissed on every other European country in the CL/EL over the last 5 seasons
