There are aspects that I agree with but not to the extent layed out in that article. The game is evolving that's only natural - I am concerned about how much and how quickly though but I don't see it as the death knell of the game.
Then again, when have the authorities consistently done a good job? Amateur knobheads captaining county sides for years. It taking Packer to get the players paid properly. 2 divisions taking years to be implemented, etc etc. The game continues despite the authorities. Like a lot of sports.

I'm fairly happy with the world Test Championship and disagree with the excellent Matthew Engel's comments on this. Often the best side doesn't win a tournament. At least it adds some context to the game and more neutrals will follow games.
