Cricket Gear

Been using Newlands for the bairns stuff. Needing to kit him out this month for him starting on hard balls. Lad in there who plays for Tudhoe really helpful. Managed to pick up some D&P gloves today for a fiver. Not looking forward to forking out for his first hard ball bat and helmet like 😔 although newlands has 20% off some IXU bats.

That being said. Lorimers is on ebay and selling GM roller bags for £40 which is really good.

That’ll be Callum Prosser who helped you in Newlands, really good cricketer and generally a sound lad. He played for Hartlepool in NYSD when he was younger. Had a few off the field issues and just played in the Langbaurgh league for a few years to fall in love again. Happy he’s settled in a canny job and hopefully going well with Tudhoe.

Yeah. Aye think its him. Tall lad. Was so helpful when the bairn was getting his first bat so went back and got more. Gonna take him back for his pads in a few weeks. Was explaining about the owner and the south african links.
Im new to cricket community as grew up in football but all seems to be tight and friendly lot who all seem to know each other

Anyone know if newlands do bat refurbs and repairs? Wondering whether to offer my services to them. I already do refurbs and repairs for optimum.

If anyone needs any work doing post season check out monument cricket on Facebook.

Cheers

I know this won’t be of much help to you, but when we were at Taunton for Somerset v Durham recently we looked in their club shop and what an excellent range of equipment they had on display, couldn’t comment on prices.

Yer independent shop runs it. It's not owned by SCCC.

Shop in town does all the local football clubs and cricket gear and schools kits.
