Crete for a holiday ?

I'm going next year because I read about Spinalonga and want to visit.

Staying in Kato Gouves which looks like a quiet resort, not that built up and with a nice prom along the sea front.

Spinalonga is brill becs, you will love it.

South coast is beautiful and very quiet.

I spent a summer in the eighties bumming round and picking fruit etc in Crete. We used to get a taxi to a beautiful little resort town on the south coast called Gallini, dump our sleeping bags in the bushes and go to one of three nightclubs on the beach. When they kicked us out we'd kip on the beach and spend the next day there. Nee idea what it's like now but it was spectacular back then.

Lovely island,go every year around Sept time,so much to the island away from the resorts.We do motorbike trail riding all over the island.Hire a car and get a decent map.It has some wonderful villages and sites.
