Credit to Dodds

The defensive plan worked a treat last night... The way the backline played in not allowing Leeds to play the ball over the line to run onto and restricted them out to the wings was a pleasure to watch most of the time. Yes, we had some little scares but in the main forcing their wide me to continually have to come inside to our Centre backs and midfield to deal with was very, very tactical..

One thing that does need saying, Whoever makes the decisions needs to have a good look at retaining Alex Pritchard's services.. The lad shows and showed last night just how valuable he is to this current set up..Another great performance and I think its three assists now make him a cut above some of the young'un's..

Became risky towards the end when we had Clarke as wing back. That Gnoto had him on strings constantly when he was running at him.

Still, we defended well overall. Credit where it’s due.

Agreed but at least he stuck with his man. They had more to worry about than we did.

Loads of positives from last night. Initial set up, selection, tactical changes, energy and discipline. Huge credit to Dodds and Procter.

Just needed to show inside and he just passed the ball and looked despondent. Got got down the outside a couple of times and won a free kick from Clarke dangling out a leg.

I’d have definitely looked to have changed that. Grateful that Gnonto kept running inside into traffic because every time he ran at Clarke he was through

Loads on the match thread were absolutely hammering Dodds for his approach in the first 20 minutes last night.

Tbf, we gave the ball away far too cheaply in our own half in the first 10/15 minutes, and we could have been punished for it, but we settled quickly once we got a grasp of the tactics and how Leeds where going to play.

Why did he move both fullbacks to the right hand side at the end. Was Clarke a better fit to stop the winger.

Leeds reminded me of how weve played in many of the games this season, happy to keep the ball at the back, go side to side without hardly testing the goalkeeper all game.
