Been a few years since I've been, but it's a fine ground to visit, albeit a bit small. Like stepping back in time to, dare I say it, a proper football ground, where you feel part of the action.

Always enjoyed going there although it was sometimes a tiny bit dodgy when they split the terraced end between home and away.

Always wanted to go but is a bit of a bastard being in London, wouldnt have a clue if i had to prat about getting the tube as well as the train etc. Is it easy to egt to anyone?

Don't we have a pretty decent record there in recent years? Well better than other grounds anyways  remember a 3-1 win and a 0-0 there lately

got beat last year 1-0 but before that we were pretty good, 1-3 with Collins, Chopra and Jones, pretty sure Healy pulled one back for Fulham before we went 3 up, and that 0-0 when Kieran scored the freekick which was ridiculously disallowed, jeez i need to get out more.

Piece of piss man, you'll be fine as long as you get your Ma to fasten your laces extra tight.

Got a taxi to the local high street and then on the lash, it was a few years back so I can't remember much about it other than the park bit, which took me by surprise a bit!

Got battered on the pitch aswell.

for a change.

Putney Bridge, East Putney or Putney BR, doesn't really matter ... generally Putney.

cheers, just found of them ones on google maps. 3 changes from Wigan, doesnt seem to bad actually.

Proper football ground, decent supporters and Bluecoats please note, decent helpful stewards!!!. BTW they split the stand between away supporters and neutrals although it is mainly us on both sides

We're driving and will be cutting in fine.

Is it best to go M1, M25, M4, A4 do you reckon?
I was a bit worried about driving through the streets, A405 etc, as it's a Saturday just before Christmas.

If i were you i'd be thinking of parking somewhere further out and getting the train/tube in.

Yeah, I thought that but did the same at Spurs and WHL train station was closed after the game. We went into London before the match and the train was delayed because of leaves on the track.

Ended up getting a £35 cab

WHL is awful though. Isn't it quicker and easier (and more drinkable) to get the train to St Pancreas, Hammersmith and City or Circle to Edgware Road then District to Putney Bridge. Or Piccadilly Line to South Kensington and then the District to Putney Bridge? though I think the first would be quicker, half an hour or so.

I'm assuming you're coming from Luton Airport? train down to St Pancreas is about 40 minutes.
