Craft Beer

Love the NZ hops. I recently brewed a Motueka pale and it is lovely and refreshing, got a lot of key lime pie flavour from it .
Best thing you can do is learn your hops. I'd recommend to anyone to try as many single hop beers as you can so you can build an understanding of what different hops taste like (roughly anyway, they'll always somewhat different due to other factors).

I'll avoid Sabro in anything, and can easily pick it out of any beer in a blind taste test. It overpowers all other hops with its coconut flavour, even if it isn't the predominant hop. I'm wary of Idaho 7 too (though nowhere near as much as Sabro!) as it can give off tea-like flavours which I'm not keen on.
Quite like Idaho 7, different strokes and all that! I currently dislike citra, which is quite hard to get away from!

Arbor do some single hop beers that I'm a fan of. Pint cans as well

I apologise for lowering the tone on the thread, but what is in craft beer thats not in like your standard pub beers that destroys my guts?

I know it is by no means craft beer but has anyone tried bottles of Stella unfiltered? Just noticed it recently and guess it is InBev trying to get a foot hold in again but happy to be proven wrong.

The Northern Monk Aunt Bessie’s Jam Roly Poly Pale Ale has arrived in Morrisons apparently. Going to grab one for Saturday. The Tiny Rebel Jam Donut was a good’un

Nowt really. Most won’t have been filtered to death so you’ll probably get more microscopic yeast particles and a bit of sediment.

Aye, they've got shit loads of it. It's knocking about in a few aisles randomly. Haven't got the Sunday roast dinner one that they released together though. Both decent, the jam one the better of the two. They've got a few different new beers in on four for three offer. I got four I'd not had before when I called in earlier.

Vocation smash and grab double IPA, North Brewing Transmission IPA, Opaque Reality mango milkshake IPA and Shoot to Thrill IPA (latter two from Wilde Child).

They took a couple of stouts off & replaced them non stouts by the looks of it. Disappointing to say the least.
