Craft Beer

Had them all bar one or two. All tremendous.
Don't think I've ever had a bad one of theirs. Sod it, it's not like I won't end up buying that much beer at some point anyway. 19 cans on their way.
I'd particularly recommend any stouts, and their NZ pales and IPA's, they really know what they're doing with NZ hops, every one I've had has been really good.
So pretty much all of them then?! Love NZ hops but don't think I've actually had any of the S43 ones.
The purple, gold and red stouts on there are really good. Agreed about the IPAs too.
Had the red one and enjoyed it.

That one took me by surprise. Got it as I was getting the other two. Been back for it a few times since.

Think it can be hit and miss. Some of the NZ brewery ones are a bit insipid (maybe due to strength as much as anything) but have had one or two superb ones.

I find I pay more attention to the hops these days, from avoiding sabro I now seek it out, same with talus, whereas I tend to swerve Nelson and mosaic if they are single hopped. Having said that I have got a S43 Mosaic IPA in the fridge, so it's not an unbreakable rule

I swerved mosaic for quite a while but I've had a couple of decent single hopped ones recently. The S43 was part of my order so will see how that goes.

Best thing you can do is learn your hops. I'd recommend to anyone to try as many single hop beers as you can so you can build an understanding of what different hops taste like (roughly anyway, they'll always somewhat different due to other factors).

I'll avoid Sabro in anything, and can easily pick it out of any beer in a blind taste test. It overpowers all other hops with its coconut flavour, even if it isn't the predominant hop. I'm wary of Idaho 7 too (though nowhere near as much as Sabro!) as it can give off tea-like flavours which I'm not keen on.

Had a Key Lime Pale by Navigation brewery the other night.
Not for everyone but I enjoyed it. Mate said it reminded him of lager and lime.
It was pretty tart, but I still had 2!
