Coventry City eviction notice

They are really really not. Geordies would be one of the last nicknames they would give.

They would often still get these things wrong though

I don't know if they have the capacity to build a new ground (potentially nearer the actual city - it's a nightmare to get to)? But no doubt another club will save them once again in the short term. Someone like Birmingham would probably love the extra revenue to pay for their own ground updates.
Pretty easy to get to, walkable from canal basin in Cov, has a train station( no sure how often that runs) decent buses because it’s also a big shopping area, close to M6. Main reasons to build would be to own the place and therefore benefit from any revenue a stadium can create and be realistic about size. 25k would easily be sufficient.

Really? We struggled to set there when we went (it was an early kick off iirc, maybe that had something to do with it?). Certainly no trains, we ended up getting a taxi, that was then stuck in traffic. There is also absolutely nowt around the ground as well, the away pub is the casino ffs. Went to a really good brewery in the industrial estate across the road though tbf, but that was about it for options apparently.

Shillong brewery is the best place nearby. Don’t know if they are still doing it but canal boats used to go from the canal basin in town and from The Greyhound pub that’s at Sutton Stop further down the canal and that’s a great pub with good food and beer.

Very strange how happy this seems to be making people on here
Were you alive in 1977 ?
I know what happened but it was a long time ago, bit unhealthy holding grudges for that long

Unhealthy ??😂😂
Look man, none of us who remember that night go to bed every night cursing JH and dreaming of CCs demise.
But every time there's bad news regarding Coventry, those of us who remember just think "f### you Coventry, get ter f###".
Nowt wrong with that imho.

Last time Southend played there the away lads hired a boat for the journey to the ground. Looked class that

We went to the Greyhound last time and walked along the tow path to the ground. Very nice it was too.
