Spug is either thick as shit or on a shite windup. I always put Sunderland, County Durham as my address on any correspondence - nee T&W bullshit.

It was not me that started the argument, all I was doing was congratulating my county on a fantastic achievement and the people of Sunderland tried to muscle in on the win when they have been included under Tyne and Wear.

No, so WERE Hartlepool etc.…pre 1974

I was referring to the county in a historical, pre-1974 f***ing local government reorganisation shite sense.

Until 1960, County Durham had four teams in the Football League:

Gateshead
Sunderland
Darlington
Hartlepools United

Sunderland has and always will be part of county Durham

Anyone who uses Tyne and Wear on an address should be f***ing culled

A most agreeable suggestion.

They should deffo make Sunderland part of Co Durham, it should not be Tyne and Wear.

Oh I know I am agreeing with you Hartlepool is now part of Co Durham again but Sunderland Isn't but should be.

Sunderland isn't part of Tyne and Wear. It's a city so it doesn't need to be in a County.
you don't say London, Essex or Birmingham, Warwickshire, do you?

Statistically speaking people from Durham make the best footballers, best lovers, best beer drinkers, best poets, best everything in fact. FACT.

County Durham...County Town or County Capital is City of Durham, includes Stockton in the south and stretches as far north as the river Tyne and North Derwent........not me, check it out google or wikipedia.
i was born in Shotley Bridge, County Durham, don't give a toss what others might call it now...i know where I came from.

I am afraid that you have to share your county with mags, I my friend live in the county of Durham.

Thank you and goodnight.

And you can't even get the name of the county right.

It's not the county of Durham it's "County Durham" the only county with the word "County" in its name.

Oh, and I was born in Sunderland, County Durham. And proud of both.

There are only two cities that aren't in counties and they are London and Manchester. Sunderland, Canterbury, Lincoln etc are all in counties. Birmingham is in the West Midlands.

Durham is Wearside.

Back to school sonny boy

The cat sat on the mat
The wheels on the bus go round and round

County Wearside OMG:lol:

SAFC have and always will have lots of fans from County Durham, me being one, but Wearside we are certainly not.
