I am afraid I do, Hartlepool, County Durham, born Peterlee which has always been in County Durham.
You live in an area ran by Tyneside council, therefore I would consider you a Tynesider.
Might be of interest to someone . In 1989 I wrote a book about the history of football in Whitburn . Whitburn alone produced 44 professional footballers the last being Keith Waugh ( Peterborough etc ) . The number included several internationals and what would now be the equivalent of Premiere League players . Whitburn although now officially classed as Tyne Wear has always been part of County Durham which extended to the Law Top at South Shields .
I was born in Whitburn County Durham .
Very interesting mate. Amazing anount of players for such a small village. I was discussing football and Whitburn with my neighbour yesterday, funnily enough. I saw an old map of the village, and there was a pitch next to the cemetery. He said this was eventually swallowed up by a cemetery extension, and the rest is allotments.
By that must have been a crowded box
