Played against him when he opened the batting for Bill Quay - we called him Mickey Normal, because he very obviously wasn't.

he used to help run the high performance sessions at Gateshead with Doug Ferguson during the winter too. Loads of others will not/have not come out the woodwork and hopefully a few who smacked him.

He certainly doesnt help the stereotype image very much too
